Sorry forgot to post my findings. I got a higher yield off the plant in the dark however she was bigger anyway so not sure if 48 hours dark was the reason. Colors were the same and did not notice difference in smoke or taste so really not sure of any benefit gained by it
The last grow i had one royal dwarf that was a little slower then the other 4.Since she took about 11days longer to mature to the same level as the first 4. I wasnt rushed for bud.I put her into 3 days of darkness.This morning being the day i harvested her .I would say she seems sticker and seems to be alittle stronger smelling.Now the others where real sticky as well, but the one i placed into 3 days of darkness.Required a second set of scissors.The first pair was finished about half way throught the trimming process.The second pair was in rough shape by the time i was fininshed.So since i only had to clean scissors twice when i trimmed the first 4 plants but used 2 scissors to trim the last plant(used second pair instead of cleaning first pair) i would say that resin was more plentifull after a prolonged dark cycle.Or maybe the last plant just produced more resin in general? you decide. either way i have some real good sticky icky!
