Thanks for stopping by alton, the smell never seems to be too intense. However I did buy a carbon filter after some ona was insufficient and my apartment started to smell of weed. Sometimes if you disturb the plants they release a wonderful odor, but for the most part if you don't move them around, they don't release much smell, though it is still enough to warrant a filter. The smell itself is kind of odd. It is definitely pot, but it is also kind of a mocha/pineapple/funk smell. When I get back home I'll spend some time trying to identify the different smells and post what I find.

Great job, you've got some real beauties there. Going to be a fine harvest for you.

quick reply on the smell, i didn't get my nose in all of them, but number 4 in the family photo (bottom right most plant) smells like ripe mangoes and fresh grass clippings, number 5 (bottom middle plant) smells lemony fresh with a touch of hops (if you brew beer, you know this smell) on the finish, number 6 (bottom left) is like what a citrus/fruit/mint gum would smell like with an overtone of sharp funk that lingers on the nose. the general smell in the air in the grow room is kind of a greenish smell, like a bowl of not quite ripe fruit, but distinctly marijuana, again with some grass clippings smell. and if i turn off my filter, it would definitely smell up the house.

Great job, you've got some real beauties there. Going to be a fine harvest for you.

thanks! i hope so :toke:

Haha maybe, but I hate going to threads without pictures. And I also found it a little tough to find pictures of the various stages of growth for MI5 so I figured I'd try to document that as well as possible for those who come next...

i've seen this guy (or others perhaps) in my room from time to time. hopefully keeping my plants bug free, i finally got to snap a picture last night.

couple of trich shots from several days ago. they're still pushing growth and filling in and i had to tie two up since they started to lean dangerously. the flush is going well, they're losing fan leaves at a good rate and the sugar leaves are just showing a tiny bit of yellowing starting, right on schedule for completion in one week! because if i'm not mistaken, it's day 64 and there are only 6 days until 10 weeks! i am actually thinking about cutting down one plant early, one (or more) plants on time, and letting at least one go 11 weeks, and one go 12 weeks just to get a full spectrum of effects. we'll see how things turn out.

and btw, how shitty is this microscope?! i think i'm going to return it. it washes everything out and there is no adjustment for gain or anything. bleh

It's the most, wonderful tiiiiiiime of the yeaaaaaar!!

Harvest day number one of 4! i cut the midget (number 1 in the family photos, the top left) down this evening after thinking about what i wanted to achieve. as i mentioned above, i wanted to experience the full spectrum of highs that mi5 can produce, so i decided i would cut one at week 9 (a little early) instead of waiting for this weekend since it's the first day of week 10 already. so all the "backbreaking" labor of trimming and manicuring my bud is done now (5 episodes of south park later...). anyway, here are the pics!
