sorry everybody. it's been too long since my last update. i just got done writing in my other journal so that's all the apology you're gettin
ok, so, the girls have been struggling through a bit of a hardship. seems to be some deficiencies and i cleaned up a lot of the lower leaves due to necrosis and overall just being dead lol. so i think the deficiencies were caused by either ph issues, underfeeding (thought their mix had enough to get them to their next pots) or both. either way i started up on daily foliar feeds of a light fishmix/CaMg/algamic solution with some SM90. they almost immediately perked up and got some healthy color back and stopped the leaf yellowing. the next watering i gave theem a healthy dose of broad spectrum nutes and ph'd the solution. they look better and better everyday. i did have 2 maui waui's fail to sprout so i popped my last 2 maui girls and their up and running. in other news, while browsing Nirvanas site i saw they had a spring special and some intriguing strains (2 new ones) that i just had to have! well when they get here, ill now be adding Somango XXL Photo(predominately indica), Swiss cheese auto, Blueberry Kush auto and Cannatonic Photo(hybrid with 1:1 THC:CBD ratio). so im excited about those girls coming. this is going to be a really exciting harvest for me this year! if i remember it haha

spring weather is finally setting in and i got to get most of the heavy lifting done for this grow. finally got to mix the rest of my medium together with my missing ingredients.


topsoil, compost, sphagnum moss, and most the amendments

ricehulls, mushroom soil, sand and the late arriving amendments

looking good

and with the soil mixed i planted one of the freebies as a test to make sure its not to hot and i dont have to use a buffer soil

nice healthy roots

good fungal involvement

looks like a sativa to me

and heres the rest of the gang

the 2 new Maui Waui replacements

so thats it for now except that as im typing this i just realized i for got to add the jamaican bat guano!

guess ill just mix that into the individual pots as i plant.
oh yeah, i topped pretty much all of the girls last night as well.

thats all for now. Feels GREAT to have dirt under the nails again! SPRING!!

so i just looked at the weather forcast and looks like future temps support a transplant and move out to the deck for these girls. and so far the soil is passing the test because the test plant is looking fine 3-4 days after transplant. no signs of burn. pics will follow tonight.

I love your outdoor dirt mix, kind of what I'd do, too.

They really needed some bigger pots and new soil.
I'm sure they'll be taking off real soon!!!

wow, just realized i did a bud porn post for the wrong thread. i apologize! im new to the grow log game and im adding 4 more strains and need to make more mix and im just backlogged like crazy. last month i was posting pics of decent snowfall now im running full sprint. nut up or shut up lol
