New Grower 4 plant mephisto grow NCH, MS, CDLC, DG x 3BOG

if the little yellow Sam is getting its green back that’s a good sign. But it can take a while for em to get all the green back, if they ever do

I think I learned a valuable lesson across the board. Starting them off in 5 gallons, and being inexperienced really fucked me up. I couldn't figure out the watering situation. I don't think I was using enough cal/mag(i think that's the cause of the curl on the NCH and the white streaking it's getting - starts off yellow and changes white with age - early issues with pH if you remember, took a while to realize that was adding to calcium lockout), I was over watering when they were seedlings (kept doing the ring instead of right on top of them so the roots were stretching hard but not giving enough water/nutrients).. shit ton of things wrong right? I've been watering and feeding them two times a day now for a little bit now and they really seem to appreciate it more snce i fixed the calmag and pH issues.

None of it wrong for the MS however, lol. I think she wants to be fed/watered 3 times a day honestly. I'm getting less and less runoff from her than used to, and with her growth I can only assume she's just sucking up her pot. She has been loving the abuse. I'd be bowled over if she ends up being a huge yielder. Based off posts I've read of those growing in 5gallons and the growth schedule she's kept, she looks on track to be big as long as I don't screw up too badly.

Some big things I'm doing for my next grow.. I'm setting up a DIY autowater halo ring. I'm pretty confident i'm going to grow 4 plants again, but 2 strains(likely sour stomper and then a DG cross) only as the 4 strains, while great for variety which is super important to me is a heavy learning curve to tackle. I've learned about the fabric to use for DIY pots for seedling and 1 gallons and I'll pot up to 5gallon in the end. The last week I've done a lot of research because man was I feeling like shit not being able to figure out what was going on with the NCH.

Geez what a book this post is. Growing really is the most enjoyable hobby I've picked up since RC heli's. Not much cheaper though hahaha

Took off all the wires holding branches down the last week. As a result plants seem to hitting a hard stretch now. There’s about an extra inch under neath the front two (nch n ms) to water a bit easier now as a result of the stretch.

the cdlc in back left is about 4 days behind the two up front but her nodes are right on top of the other. Topping her might have caused some trouble because there a a metric ton of tiny nodes underneath that have been trying to push through all week. I’ve done some intense leaf tucking as a result and you can see the nodes are finally starting to push hard up from underneath the dense fan leaf canopy that was created. She’s definitely been harder to work with than the other two.

and then we have that crazy fucking samsquanch. The green is just so minimal. Her stem feels fairly weak and the leaves are like silk. I anticipate her dying every day but still she grows and grows and grows. She’s incredibly dense with foliage but the green just isn’t coming like I’d hoped it would.

Man has @Waira chimed in on this crazy ass little plant? If anyone will know what’s up. He will

@NoFrillsNoBills you're doing extremely well for a first time grower..well done so far!

thanks! I read ‘a lot’ prior to actually committing to a grow and credit that to some extent, but its a totally different beast to actually grow yourself.

And the lessons I’ve learned! Already rdy for the second grow haha. Still have to get this to the finish line though and then to make sure I harvest dry and cure right!

Day 35 for NCH and MS, 31 for CDLC and day 25 for the Sam OG

NCH and MS are pistils everywhere. CDLC looks like a dried up hag(she's not though, could be wind burn too from the fan there), no pistils yet. While getting the NCH dialed in, pretty sure I screwed around with the CDLC.. that or left her tied down too long.. lessons learned. Then we have the Sam OG. A true freak. She started to green up more, especially the new growth, but still not what is expected. AND NOW SHES THROWING PISTILS?!?! So weird.

Really wish they could talk sometimes. I'd love to know why that NCH is so pissed off with me since day 14 or whatever. Curled up and gnarly, but her pistils look so pretty and numerous. The only thing I can imagine is that it's light sensitive and would have preferred further distance/less light strength but the mango eats up all the light she can get... and since theyre sharing.. NCH gets shit treatment. Realities of growing a variety I guess. One cool thing I suppose is after her top she's developed two 'towers' and then a lot of satellite branches that are catching up.

The bigger ones are about 16" wide and about 13" tall at their day 35.

My first grow is ongoing and I picked two varieties. As a beginner, your problems tells me to stick with one variety per grow until I gain more knowledge.
LOL! That Sam OG is a trip! Just plain crazy! Just outta pure curiosity, please let her run the course.
