New Grower 4 plant mephisto grow NCH, MS, CDLC, DG x 3BOG

This joker really not sure what it’s doing. Lol. I can’t tell if it’s finally popping the seed shell up or if it’s still growing in that weird loop. I’ll give it a few more days and possibly pull it and take a picture of it. It’s the weirdest thing.

This is the same thing that it did in the jiffy pellet. Popped itself above the soil, and then grows in a huge loop. I’ll give it another day or two and if it’s being weird I may definitely have to get an exacto knife out and perform cosmetic life saving surgery.

Currently I have 2 320XL HLG boards turned down all the way (I assume that is 50%?) I'm not sure exactly. Over the next few days I'll be bumping that up and inching towards 100% as the mango and the NCH are really going in to overdrive as far as early growth is concerned.

What I would do is kinda dig a little bit around it to get the helmet above ground and see if that helps. I mean I’m sure it’ll find a way above ground by nature but like your said timing is always a Thing

I was thinking about that but at the same time concerned with doing too much at once. Will see how it develops through out the day, as it's definitely doing something, and if it's still questionable towards days end ill coax it to have the helmet above ground. Thanks for the input.

I lied. The thing is so mind boggling I couldn't stop myself.

The picture is very washed out. Did my best but lighting is intense. that stem is quite green. The green 'loop' is where the stem loops out and back in to the seed shell. the root coming out indicated by the red zone has grown exceptionally from what it was before when in the jiffy pellet. It looks like the way the stem is looped in and out of the shell that it's strangling the root. The shell is not letting go any time soon. I tooled around on it some. I added a few drops of moisture to the shell and am letting it just soak on top of it. Hopefully it loosens it up some. If not. Oh well, 3 plants are rolling and that's not a bad start!

This guy has been interesting to watch though and I'm learning a lot of things for future grows.

That is strange. It still seems like it will rip free but honestly I would go hulk on it and tear that helmet off lol. That is ONLY if I had another bean to drop in it’s place.

Oh boy do I have beans. Here’s what I’ve got in the rice box, stored in the fridge (figured a Tupperware of rice poured over the seed packages would be protection redundancy as far as making sure they stay dried)

4x Northern Cheese Haze
5x Creme de la Chem
5x Samsquanch OG
4x Mango Smile
5x Sour Stomper
4x Skywalker
5x Sour crack

then the freebie crosses they include with every order

4x double grape x 3bog
5x double grape x sour stomper
5x double grape x skywalker
5x DBC x 3bog
5x skywalker x 3bog


My goal was to get a decent array of things to test out, and see what works best for the wife. Everything I’ve heard about this breeder seems great. I don’t need any more seeds but at this point I think seed collecting might be part of the fun as far as the hobby goes itself.

If I can’t get any of his CBD strain, I will need to find a new one to go after. I was reading on another part of the forum of one called pink kush auto or something along those lines. Seems like it might be worth looking in to.

You’ve defiantly got some beans lol. So yeah man I would absolutely go do some surgery on that little special needs guy. If it works out, great if not pop another and you will have one a week or so behind. No biggie. If you are medicine hunting you are goin to grow em all out anyway. And yes seed collecting is the best!

Well came back home after heading to the in-laws and dropping some seeds off with the brother.

this is what I came home to. Damn thing had contorted all over the place but just can’t shake that shell. just going to chunk it and figure out a new one to go with for the 4th bucket. I guess that still counts as a germination but some kind of mutant. I managed to pry the shell off and the root was literally growing out of the stem which had somehow circled itself. It was like conjoined twins. Sucks but that’s nature.

That’s crazy, and yes you can’t be blamed for this one lol. That is one hundred percent on Mother Nature. I would grab the first double grape X 3BOG I could get into germination and plant that. That will be an AMAZING plant. I have grown both and both are in my top 5 meph strains. Double grape is my all time favorite
