New Grower 2nd Grow Mephisto Double Grape and Dutch Passion CBD Charlotte’s Angel Auto in Coco

Thanks for subbing up! I’ll try not to disappoint. I’m already thinking one CBD plant won’t last long. I may have to run a CBD plant with every grow.
I'll be running Pink Kush CBD from Seedsman in a few weeks. 30:1 ratio on it, and should produce some pretty buds.

I'm going to try to get some seed stock with collidal silver on that plant.

I can't handle much THC these days, so pretty much anything I'm buying will be CBD dominant. It's been nice to still enjoy the weed without side effects

I think I chose the Charlotte’s Angel for its high CBD to THC ratio but also for its Sativa dominance. I take cbd oil every morning so I felt that for function I would prefer a sativa cbd oil. The Pink Kush CBD might be really nice for evening use. I think I’ll look into that (this means I’ll be buying some seeds).

I was thinking of doing the same. Any strains you'd recommend? I was hoping that Mephisto would have something for 4/20 but it looks like we'll have to wait a little longer for that. Seems it's mostly Haze crosses that'll be coming from them.

Thanks Hanzo

Charlotte’s Angel looks like a good candidate for my needs. I’m finding so much more interest in CBD plants these days. The versatility of uses and the medicinal effects without psychoactivity is very accommodating for me. I’m also getting a lot of interest from people that are running out of options to treat unresolved medical issues that have been addressed with some serious prescription drugs. Either the drugs don’t work or the side effects are brutal. So, I’m growing the plant for myself and others with hopes of some relief for them.

Some interesting strain choices you have there, if you journal them please tag me in. Garlic weed doesn’t sound too appealing to me but who knows. The Bubbly Livers I grew out has an aroma that went from puke to the most glorious fruit, vanilla, and cream in jars. I’m curious about the cheese strains but I’m not sure I want to commit to months of growing one out to find out it smells like feet or ass.

I’d appreciate the extra eyes on this grow as I have high expectations for these plants (no pun intended).
If you get a blue or exodus cheese, you will like it cheese has one of the more pungent aroumers out of many, like it’s going to stink your room out just sitting in the bag, but the smell it’s self isn’t cheesy more of a sweet pungent earthy smell

I was hoping for a pure CBD plant from Mephisto, and that may come along, but I don’t believe they’re working on that just yet. My concern is the absurd THC laws in Canada now. If I use a 2:1 or 1:1 strain I don’t know what the level of THC is in my system even though I don’t feel impaired at all. How am I supposed to know if I have 2 ng of THC in my system? So I started looking for an all CBD, sativa dominant strain and came up with this one. There aren’t a lot of them available now. The only CBD plant I’ve tried is some Sweet Nurse CBD Auto by Sweet Seeds courtesy of @lunarman. It is 1:1 I think and Indica dominant. The aroma at harvest was beautiful and still smells really nice in jars. I’ve made oil from it that I use daily. Aside from that I’ve only used what was offered from my LP and who knows what they use for they’re oil.

I think I’ll stop at a dispensary and pick up a gram or two and try it before committing to grow it. I’ve been curious to pick up Mephisto’s Northern Cheese Haze but opted for Fugue State, to try something more sativa leaning. I haven’t used much for sativas as I don’t feel I get much from them so I thought I would give it a go with some good genetics before I dismiss them.

Not sure about Canada but in the uk and Europe in general because of the prohibition they have strains up to 15% CBD and 0.2% THC they basically pass it under legal hemp status but anyway I smoked some real flavoursom 0.2% thc such as blue dream/White Russian/super lemon ect and you can feel you muscles relax like a mild body highly except it’s not psychoactive, be careful though I also tried some cheaper bits and it was pretty much seedy African bush-weed might be worth looking into though it is possible to get terp dankness that you won’t risk breaching your 2mg rule

Laws on TCH are Silly Rabbit and I think someday we will see a change BUT TOUGH to undo a Law already in place ....

...... UofM did study on Stoned Drivers verses Drunk and Sober and found Stoned Drivers are safer, oh yea SAFER cause they don’t speed or tailgate unlike drunks who do tailgate and speed and sober drivers as well ......

Effects of THC peak in under 10 minutes of smoking thus reaction times are not hindered say 1/2 hour after smoking, not talking eatables here btw, anyways here is link to high times UofM news.

Fast buds has CBD crack available, not sure if that’s any of your interest.

“CBD Crack seeds are FastBuds' latest wonders of autoflower genetics, delivering up to 7% CBD index and 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD.“

Apparently a CBD project is in the works over at Mephisto, but who knows how long it'll take before it's ready for release.

It's pretty reassuring to see they don't rush strains out to keep up with trends unlike some breeders such as Fast Buds who's main goal it seems is just to make auto versions of whatever's fashionable. Mind you that's not to say they don't have some great genetics. Their Tangie is a great example of what they can do when they do it right and I've got a Zkittles from them in the tent right now. I tried the photo variety a while back and it was some of the best I've ever come across.

I felt the same about Sativas for a long time but I've since come to love them when I'm in the right mood. I do still tend to go for indica dom strains as the body centric effects help me a lot with Fibromyalgia and I'm more of an evening smoker. I'm in love with Mephisto's Ghost Stomper though. My favourite weekend wake n' bake for sure.

I take CBD oil everyday and it really helps but it's so expensive so I'd like to grow a CBD strain with the intention of making tinctures and also for a morning smoke before work or a lunch break. CBD heavy strains that also contain THC aren't much use for my needs. I'd like to be able to smoke something in the day at work to help with the pain that won't make me high per-say. Of course I want it to still be delicious! Charlotte's Angel looks like it could be a good choice. I can't find much info on it in terms of taste but anything that DP put out is generally worth a try in my experience. They seem to be pretty hardy, forgiving plants too.
