Lighting 2020 parts list required 4 DIY

What about a couple 2.7 and 4k strips, far red...
What makes a really good flower light. I bought a kit that has samsung 301s in 2.7, 4, and I think 6k plus a few far red. It was 100 bucks for the driver, heatsink, cords, wagos, dimmer, and 2 strips, 84w.
I'd like to build something like that but bigger. Would like to source it and eliminate the middle man. The price on those Bridglux is pretty amazing! 60.00 US for 10.

It just depends on your space. HLG has far red kits but for the sake of simplicity I would probably run 2700k with far red if I was going to do EOD treatments. I'd try to run whatever I get as efficiently as possible so it depends on your space.

Ok so. Straight 2700 for flower? The space is a utility room. No tent. Lots of space but don't want to del with multiple plants there. Best bang for the buck for a strictly flowering light. Perhaps I am not providing enough info. Sorry.

What are the dimensions?

The room is 8x10. The clear floor space is 6x6 8' ceilings. Can walk around one huge planr no problem

I had a look at the digikey site as you propose.
Pretty impressive pricing.
Did you have a look at Mouser.com to compare prices?
Cheers

That would be roughly a 1080w build. I would probably run 4 320w drivers on a 4x6 fixture. Mixing colors, unless you go with CutterAU BR strips or Vestas, is going to be more expensive and complicated to wire. With the gen 3s, you could do 48 x 4ft strips wired in parallel to a HLG 320H 42. Order 50 from Digikey and bulk pricing.

I'm not entirely sure how much far red you would need to cover the 6x6 but you could ask Horticulture Lighting Group.

Look into AgroMax UVB & UVA lighting.

That is going to be a large fixture, you might consider a winch

I just need a light for one large Photo plant. I figure it will scrog out to 4x4 nearly. I have no intention of lighting the entire room. Insert Smiley face here

Yeah...I was thinking about that 1000w light in what is roughly my bathroom.
You'd also need a dedicated air conditioner to keep the room temps under control.
Figure every watt of lighting will generate roughly 1/2 the heat of an equivalent baseboard heater.
Where I live.
Electricity is $0.08 per kilowatt hour.
So that 1000w light would cost .08x24x30
Or $57 a month....for 3 months.
How much pot can $150 buy?
