I'd like to know from others who have made a 1 light setup for 1 plant.
(As a FYI,...the less $ the better),....so lets aim for quality parts,......but 30-50W max.

What parts have you ordered online?...or store bought.

I'm a very hands on person, so I'm not intimidated by a soldering iron.

Please tell us what you have made, (photos are always good).
Your end result product, specifications....and a few comments on,....if I had to do it again!!!!

Sometimes a kit, cost less than putting something together.

I like Mars Hydro products.

If these people had a little more marketing smarts,....they'd sell a kit for some of us diy'ers

How about a quality 315w 3x3 flower footprint?
Best parts/sourcing?

I grow in a 70cm x 70cm x 160cm tent using a Spider Farmer SF1000 from start to finish. The SF1000 is just below 100w from the wall but you’d think it was more. It’s about $160 plus shipping. I love the light, great output and on a budget. They also do an sf600 which is even cheaper.
You’d easily grow one plant under either of these, I grow 2 or 3 ladies in my crowded little tent under my sf1000.

I haven't made a 1 plant light setup but I source my LED in 1,2,4ft increments from Digikey. My drivers come from either Meanwell via Digikey or Inventronics sold by FutureElectronics.

Bridgelux EB gen 3 are running 2.8umols at max efficiency. Inventronics drivers cost less than Meanwell.

Amazon for 5 way wagos, 18g wire, thermal tape, hardware, power cable, and junction plug.

Locally source square aluminum tubing.

1x1 light fixture with EB3s

Probably around $150 for everything but a lot money compared to running a 120w driver and being max for a 1x1 and perfect for a 2x2.

2.8 is amazing. I guess the new Samsung came in as high as 2.93. Insane.
Thank you so much. DIGIKEY is so confusing to me. Very hard to navigate for me. I'll check out the links. Appreciate any additional help.

What about a couple 2.7 and 4k strips, far red...
What makes a really good flower light. I bought a kit that has samsung 301s in 2.7, 4, and I think 6k plus a few far red. It was 100 bucks for the driver, heatsink, cords, wagos, dimmer, and 2 strips, 84w.
I'd like to build something like that but bigger. Would like to source it and eliminate the middle man. The price on those Bridglux is pretty amazing! 60.00 US for 10.

O ce I know the wattage etc I dont know how to figure out what driver for 10 strips etc. Do I use a driver that will only push the strips at 80% of potential so as to not damage them...
Thanks again hate to be a pain.
