200day auto vs 90day

Whats better, a 90day auto that yields 4-6 oz or a 200day that can pull pounds.

A cross of hpg eerbeer male with jammy dodgers meph
.... Ah, I saw the other link just now,.. gotta be specific mate, I saw just this at first, but now i see this is a LR2 cross male.. big difference!
So, from what other breeders tell me, speed is not a definitive characteristic of "auto's", it's the blooming in long day length (or more correctly, short dark period) that's the key. We see a whole spectrum of total life cycle and bloom speed here, usually in the Infirmary with folks whose auto's, don't... or are long delayed, like 10 weeks in veg' before they switch for example... the "auto" mechanism is way more complex than a simple Medelian punnet square recessive allele indicates... I don't think it works that way at all frankly! And we've seen it here time and time again, including myself with photo x auto F1 crosses that actually auto; according to the simplistic punnet deal, that's impossible... I also cite the several examples of other photo's, especially landrace tropical Sativa's that show the occasional odd "auto" phenotype expression, flowering in the veg' tent under light schedules as high as 24/0... Tobe has a PNG landrace that did this very thing, tested deliberately at 24/0 to confirm what others had experienced with this PNG landrace... I've see other (growers) examples in South American strains, old Haze lines, etc.,... I speculate this is a throwback survival mechanism, plus keep in mind what a true tropical plant experiences in light schedule at/near the equator-- constant near 12/12, right? ...one reason why these types take forever in bloom.... "Indica's" (I quote because botanically, all drug varieties of cannabis are under the indica umbrella, hemp under "Sativa", but taxonomy is largely a bitch fight between schools of thought anyway  but this current scheme is widely accepted)-- are refered to as WLD (wide leaf drug), sativa as NLD... "Indica" originate from higher Lat's where there are more strongly seasonal conditions and light/dark hours.... I paint a general picture here, there's other factors to consider in all this of course....
So, in this case, here we have an "F1" hybrid x full auto, showing autoflowering behavior, but on a longer cycle coming from the photo Erdbeer parent... unfortunately, Stickman has left AFN, so he can't be called in to share more about this strain, and this phenomena....

As for the core question of this thread, I think it's so apples vs. oranges, it's moot... too many personal preference and product fate variables in play here, IMO...
Personally, for private stash, one of the best things about auto's is the ability to grow a nice variety of strains in a short window of time (example: my tent is a seasonal gig, outside in a courtyard)... I have zero desire to have lb's of one strain, and it's a genuine gamble if that strain turns out good or not....
If you're selling, such considerations are likely not important (save the quality one).... it's the potential profit, which diminishes rapidly the longer the bloom goes, hence the strong desire and breeding for auto's to finish fast. IMO, any "auto" that goes more than say 11+ weeks total is a waste of time and $, might as well have grown a photo' and saved on the power costs, and still get the yield....

So I got a male that showed sex in 3 weeks under 18/6 lighting. I put him outside under same lighting schedule and waited for pollen. I then crossed that pollen with a mephisto jammy dodgers and dropped two of those. One was a male that sexed early and the other was the plant in question.

I read this is that a thumbs up or down to award a 2 LB. Auto badge?

I will also add that having a gal this size is beginning to be a pain and quite frankly I'm tired of looking at her!

Agree wit @Waira I have had fem photos start flowering under 18/6. They were not autos at all. At 200 days I am calling that a photo

Even though I've ran 6 total under 18/6 and they all flowered?
