Mephisto Genetics 2 Deep Dlue C, 2 Sour cracks( title changed first grow)

Update without pics. Will put up some pics sometime soon. SC#1. Hasn't really done anything since. I think she topped off at 5 inches. She is still trying to give me side braches branches but flowering is just starting so don't think she will go much further. She is super dense with leaves. I want to cut some off but don't at the same time. When you thin out the fan leaves do you rub anything on the exposed cut or let it be? What if I can't cut fan leave all the way against stem?

SC#2 she is about an imch taller than SC#2. Again side branching is minimal. Pretty weak. If I can pull 10grams off SC#1 and 2 that'd be pretty sweet.

DBC#1. Is doing the best. She is starting to top out around 7inches but has nice side branching and she should be my biggest yielder.

DBC#2 about 9 days behind. I think she will be like her big sister but hopefully she will surpass her.

I personally do not remove healthy leaves. Usually towards late flower in my grows I have some lower fan leaves that have some water damage that I will remove. I will also pluck off some of the small popcorn bud from around the base of the plant. But I have never removed healthy fan leaves off an auto. I do tuck a lot of leaves throughout the flower phase of my girls. Hope this helps.

I was only planning on tucking as they grew but my SC#1 is so dense with leaves I figured it might help to open her up. I think I'll let her be. (More sugar leaf for me... Not that there will be much.) if I remove any it won't be until later on. SC#1 and #2 will be going to flower nutes sometime soon. DBC#1 I'm guessing will get flower nutes within the next week or so as she still is stretching some for now and not pre flowering as hard yet. Wish I had some better size plants to show off. I will in the future I promise. Lol

To snip or not to snip. I do it but it depends on the plant. For example the TxA had lots of huge fan leaves. After I had stretched the branches away from the main stem, some of the big fan leaves blocked the light from the lower branches. So I trimmed them, but I follow a few personal rules.
1. I only cut the ones that are problems - where nothing else will work.
2. Moderation - never more than 2 leaves at a time and wait 2-3 days before I trim any more.
3. I don't take any of the leaves more than half way up the plant.
4. I snip the leaf stem wherever because I usually can't get to where it joins the stem.

On the other hand, I don't recall trimming any leaves on the SC & DBC that I just finished. Just tried to stretch them out as much as possible. Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps. Oh and thanks for the rep. BTW.

I hope to get half ounce from both SC. They are going to be tiny! Love the smell almost like sweet candy.

DBC has a interesting smell. I can't even describe it... So I won't lol

Sorry for the the lttle midgets! I'll keep working on my green thumb. Thinking about trying a couple coco Hempy buckets as well down the road.

Update sorry pics are not the best. Plants look really dark in these pictures. The two Two DBC's are a really nice green. The SC's and DBC#1 are on flower nutes. DBC#2 has some time to go. Still leaf tucking where I can.

DBC#2 started behind the top three. Was hoping she would be bigger but I don't think it's going to happen now. Although I'm getting a bunch of side shoots on her.

That's all for now folks.

Some quick shots and updates again.
DBC#1 still growing going to get a better yield than I thought. She is going to be a dense one. Especially that center cola. Can't believe the side shoots. They keep growing. Also the main stem is an easy half inch plus on all four.

DBC#2 Is taking off. She has a lot more aide shoots than her big sister but is catching up in height. Sorry picture quality sucks.

Not going to show much of the SC's #1 has some type of deficiency may be cal mag. She is going to be one fat cola though. SC#2 should yield a little more. We will see. Here's the midgets.

Quick question. So I just read a grow journal where it was thought that the lights being to close caused short squat bushy plants. Is this the case to a certain extent? In veg I never got heat or light burn but wonder if I kept my 400w to close? I have about 3-4 theories to why I didn't produce but will have to do more trial and error to determine the real reasons. 1. Light to close? Also, HPS not MH. 2. Over feed SC's. Then possibly under feed. Started feed to soon? 3. vermiculite messing with PH. 4. Hempy bucket or to big of bucket. 5. Me just not knowing what exactly I'm doing yet. Time will tell.

I received everything I need to give a coco (hempy) grow a try. Will probably do a side by side with just perlite Hempy.
