Do most growers wait for the white pistils to turn before cutting or is just one of those things we just experiment with?

It looks to me that the pistils on 3 of the plants have pretty much turned in color but that one plant looks like it has quite a number of white pistils on it yet. I would say there are a good number of growers who will wait till the pistils change color and then harvest their plants. But I have grown enough plants to know that some plants the pistils would never change colors till the plant is dead. Some just keep putting out new white pistils in an effort to get pollinated and carry on the genetics.

I'll chop em down in 2 days, sure they could go longer but i need the harvest sooner.

White pistils still covered on the plant in question but the other 3 look decent.

After a hour and some change we stopped trimming and just hung them up to dry, RH in tent is 60% (thanks rain) and 70F. I think it should take 5-7 days to dry but I'll start trying to snap branches at day 5

Day 4 of drying with very high humidity (thanks rain) @LoveDaAutos

I have not tried snapping a twig yet, i have about 1-1.5 grams of bud left to smoke on when that runs out I'll start speeding up the drying process. I put a small 1-2 bowl nug on top of my gaming PC which vents hot air out the top, it dried it in about 24 hours and the smoke was GREAT, it was not a fresh high but was noticeably stronger and more uplifting than my streetbag. Thanks again to @420Forever for the quick dry method he uses on top of his stereo, will work in a pinch for sure :smoking:

He doesn't use that method to dry a bud or two. That's how he dries his whole plants. Rumor has it they're so small he just lays them on his stereo to dry.
