Your training has really paid off I like the way that plant fills up that space. Now is the time to start doing a little bit of defoliation here in there. Get rid of some of those bigger fan leaves that are blocking lower Bud sites. If you're into that kind of thing anyway some are some aren't. If you are just make sure every fan leave you take is the one that's blocking the maximum number of Bud sites.

Do you think it is as worth it to defoliate with the limited wattage? If the penetration isn't going to be there with or without the trim, then would you still trim and stress it a little? I truthfully am always on the fence about it, and have done both, i am currently in the middle of doing a grow with limited defoliation to see the difference. I am just curious about your opinion.

Well I defoliate relentlessly throughout the grow. These modern autoflowers are pretty tough. Of course, that's only if you have your environment really dialed in and you're comfortable with what you're doing.

Your plant is far enough along to where you're not going to stunt it. Yes it is stressful and plants respond to stress in different ways when you're in flower like you are. One possible way is by making a Hermie. I've only been able to do that to an autoflower by taking them very very late in flower and then messing with the light cycle. Never had It happen by physical stress. The other way the plant might respond is by increasing the terpene production, because the terpenes are the plants way of defending itself late in flower.

So if you have fan leaves that aren't growing out of a bud and they're blocking other Bud sites should you remove them when you have weak lights? Actually that's when you need to remove them, if you have a powerful light it can push down through several inches of canopy even farther. But with weaker lights yes you need to take advantage of defoliation.

Now I'm giving you this advice with a couple pounds of weed stored away and just about everything I need if my grow goes bad. And I've also learned everything I do slowly over time by making little tiny adjustments. So the grow you have going where you giving limited defoliation a try is probably the best way for your temperament. Just know if you keep experimenting you can go a lot further than you would ever believe. And I believe plants respond to that with an increase in hormones and an increase in production.

Thanks man.. great post, that's exactly what I was kind of on the fence about . I agree a light defoliating will go good. I am going to defoliate within next few hours and post a pic. I have heard that light stress can put the plant in defense mode which promotes terpes. I was just trying to figure out my feeding and flush schedule out thanks jiggly j and jingo.

Defoliated lightly? Should I do more. I do feel like light and air is flowing better

I'd wait 2-3 days see how she responds and if she's going strong do it again. She could respond by bulking up all her smaller fan leaves that are left and she can get even bushier but at this stage of the growth I think you'll just see a growth in Buds.
