I don't think you messed anything up, even if you did overdry them (which I've done several times lol) the Boveda's will bring them back in the sweet spot. No I wouldn't recommend using a humidifier during drying, there's no need, you just adjust your drying time based on your humidity... if yours is 40% that's a perfect level anyway. And no definitely don't use the Beveda packs during drying either, they are for curing only and need to be kept in an airtight jar/container always.
Also one thing you might want to try with your next plants is just drying straight in the paper bags (my preferred method). This will slow down the drying process and also locks in the smell, so they smell much better right from the start of curing

I ordered some more brown paper bags online as they're a bit hard to find where I am (shops use plastic bags around here...). I think I will do as you preconise
