dailydose, just wanted to say, the lights are way to far from the plants ok........... you can drop them down to 1m above the plants, this will give a better lux power, which you can check with a lux meter etc........... you want around 20,000lux at the canopy for best potentiated growth................. looks like 4 cobs would be the equivalent of 400w or 600w HPS daily ??....................

dailydoseidge looking at the felt cover over the 300mm carbon filter, a few grows have been completed on that filter !!................. if its greater than 3 maybe 4 grows, it may be time to change the filter.............. did you get the complete set up from a friend who quit growing ??.................. will drop back in to see how the 2cobs do with the plants ok................ good luck with the grow.............. it may be your first grow, but plenty has been done in that tent, looking at the "Brown" color of filter cover, may be more than 4, thats 400hrs on that filter dailydose ?/... ALR

welcome and thanks for stopping by @AutoLowRyder !

my tent is 55" tall and the lights are sitting at 28" (left) and 30" (right). have been reading 30-36" veg / 24-30" flower so i should be ok at the height.. im just letting the plants grow towards them now since they are sitting on the very top of the tent.

my filter is actually on its first grow! everything brand new. i think it just looks dirtier due to how white the rest of the filter is. it actually looks more light gray/see through ish in person lol.

feel free to stop by anytine! im just moving along with my first grow and hoping to reach the finish line

here they are after taking out some leaves blocking bud sites:

3 from SC / 7 from GSC

16th feed GH TRIO

- 2ml cal mag
- 2ml micro
- 1ml gro
- 2ml bloom
- 1ml ph down

- ph @ 6.26 (yellow pen)
- ph @ 6.21 (apera pen)
- ph around 6.0-6.5 (vial)

- decided to split the nute mix between the 2 girls.

- each plant received 1900ml / 1.9L of water in 500ml/10mins interval
- still no water run off!

- normal feeding has been around 500ml per plant every other day.. so well see how long it takes for the pot to dry before watering this time

-----

- no visible issue with light stress @ 25" so ill be keeping the light at this distance for now.

here they are after taking out some leaves blocking bud sites:

try not to remove any leaves from the plant, as they are nute reserves for flowering !............ and when the plant is young, need every set of stoma it can get ;)........... instead, better to "Leaf Tuck" under, any that are blocking light from young or matured fruits....... best of both worlds then,............ as even when tucked under, a leafs chloroplasts can still adsorb photons from your cobs........

still no water run off!

when the plants are young, before the flower hearts are 10mm across, feed a root stim, similar to rizotonic, with the feed, every other feed. Important to ensure on those waterings, the culture medium is soaked rigth through to a good run off of excess water, ensuring the medium is wetted to the bottom, then the roots will quickly track down to the pot bottom............ achieve this, and the plant will reach it's natural maximum size for that pot size...... improving harvest volume.......

500ml per plant every other day.

if your grow medium volume is say 10ltr, and it can hold 250ml per ltr of medium, = 2.5ltrs would be the amount required every other day,............. 2.5ltrs is just before run off occurs with your soil medium TDD ??

of more importance is grow medium temperature.......... it needs to be at light out temp, 22c-24c, not less than 21c, for proper nutrient conversion.......... and to maintain the communities of bacilli and fungi (RHS Root Grow) in the medium............. all of which aids nute uptake and somatic assimilation.........

for this root temp you need 26-28c lights on................. then during lights out, a small floor based 1kw heater, on a timer, to go off 15mins after lights on........... and on at lights out............ this will control RH in the grow space, as heat is linear to RH........... RH relative hunidity above 60% is not good for carbon filter efficassy....... above RH70% the efficiency begins to drop............................"If" the airflow through it is "Correctly" matched, and not to fast a flow past the carbon granules...........

no visible issue with light stress @ 25" so ill be keeping the light at this distance

in flower my plants get as close as 15cm to a 567w 9 pod led......... the led's are "12 volt" so little heat is produced, even at best in summer my led's only hit 30c................ 3-4-5c below ambient as the coller fans drop the ambient 3-4-5c............... some blue spectrum led's burn out at temps above 35c........... as the diode sulfur emitting surface overheats............. to to 30c temp, there is zero fire risk as it dont reach combustion temperatures......... lowering the light massively improves lux flux, but also negates early pre flower stretch.

if you have an Ec pen , your nutrient power at day 35 wk5 would be around Ec0.5 not including the feed water Ec........ use Nitric acid Ph down in veg, after fruits are 10mm across use phosphorus Ph down, to drop tap water Ph............. to target 6.3 in veg 6.5 middle grow 6.9 in full flower.............

hope that is of use to you TDD or "RDA" recommended daily dose 1g CBD oil ! vaped in the new o2vape pen, BHO extract or shatter pen............ i only vape cannabis, have not combusted for 19 months............ works fine for me............. last a lot longer, and is twice the hit power ! whats not to like .................ALR

Lookin nice! They look great after the trim!

thanks @baked in the bluegrass ! i dont think ill be doing anymore defoliation. girls bud sites are exposed now and getting direct lights.

Your doing great! The branches will start to become more brittle now careful on your tie downs. I be-headed one!

appreciate the heads up @FullAuto245 ! havent done any hard ties as of late.. just slight adjusment. last thing i want to do is take my girls head off!!

i appreciate all the info @AutoLowRyder ! i need to look into root stimulants. i dont know much about them but if they can help my plants grow then im all for it! nothing wrong with helping the plants produce for bigger yields.

not much into vaping besides the 510 king pen here and there. i like my blunts! i am looking around at glass pieces just to switch things up.. maybe grab a bong/bubbler as a celebration present for harvest day.

just a quick update

- careful with the pipe cleaners!! leaves grew towards the end of wire and pierced it self..
- need to make sure to watch where the end pieces are for the next tie downs!

- girls looked really droopy/thirsty today (after 4 days of no water)

- mixed 2 batches of 1 gallon mix +/-
- each plant got 1 gallon +/- each for the feeding! still no run off..

-watered plants @10 mins interval w 1L of water each.

-----

thought for sure that 1 gallon of water in a 3 gallon pot would produce run off!! guess i was wrong... or the girls were just very thirsty!

edit: 1a and 1b renamed to where the water was given to

I grow in 3 gal. soil pots and usually get a little runoff after watering with a gallon.
I water a little faster than you though. If I had the patience for 10 minute intervals between portions of water, it would most likely get all absorbed!
And thinking about it a little more—I also have one inch of 100% perlite at the very bottom of my bags(so even less soil than you.) I don't like soggy bottoms!
