I don't lower (from 30") my Autocobs until the ladies are well established and I'm happy with stretch. I lower slowly from there. I have two plants left on my current run and the Autocobs are 18" from canopy. Harvest coming soon. Just exercise some patience with the seedlings.
I will probably be going back to reflectors for veg when this run is done and I change tents. Good luck the rest of the way.

quick update:

i read on gh website that you can premix the nutrients and keep it up to a week. i wanted to test this to see if the ph would change.

yesterday was feeding day. i had sone left over nutes from the gallon i mix so i saved a bottle.

ph from yesterday:

- ph @6.42 (freshly calibrated yellow pen)
- ph around 6.0-6.5 (vial test)
- ph around 6.0 (paper strips)

after 24 hrs (in darkness)

- ph @6.61 (yellow pen)
- ph around 6.5 (vial test)
- ph around 6.0 (paper strips)

ppm (tested by a cheap blue pen) : 0294 / 65.3f
- i know nothing about ppm or how/what to measure
- blue ppm came with the yellow as a combo
- being a mew grower i will stay with ph testing for now while i read up on ppm.

looking good  what size is the new pots ?
i only have about 140cm height.i hang my lights as close to the roof as i can and leave it there.couple of cardboard boxes for under the pots if need be :eyebrows:
my first ph pen £6 yellow,my first and last tds pen £4 my base tap water is about 160 ppm  weak and really strong nutes 220-900 ish.
as soil growers its kinda useless..unless your water source is a well, and the well water is cloudy with a ppm of 870 ppm.find another source of water.
great guide from Ash aint it
good luck n keep er lit.

hey @archie gemmill . new containers are 3 gallons. i actually have them on top of a cardboard box and my lights set to the very top of the tent. seems ppm are mostly use on hydros/coco? i guess i will stick to my tap water and ph test. i will eventually buy a ph pen.. but that will have to wait (apera ph20 is calling my name). professor ash!!

:pass:

yep hydro peeps be lost without a ec/ppm/tds meter all the same thing just a different scale :crying: do yourself a favour and dont read up about ec/ppm/tds and the meters :coffee2: and the 3 scales for the same thing 500/550/700 or something like that.depends what side the pond you on to
i got a hanna ph pen £70 recently i hope it will last many many years.i test my ph every 2 weeks (a month ish) :eyebrows: my waterings and feeds tend to end up 5.9-6.9 depending on light/heavy/veg/flower nutes, ballpark is good enough for me (im a lazy eejit of a grower,im just saying what works for me) Ash and others know what they doin,i just somehow wing it a dash a luck or pixie dust :shrug:i end up with :smokeit:
less is more...keep it stupid simple...if it aint broke dont fix it...and my fav...the less you do,the less can go wrong :yay:
:pighug:
