Fertigate/water the entire pot. A tap root can grow 9 inches in three days and the laterals are not far behind. Roots will not grow into dry soil. This is the mechanism behind air pruning. So if you have a dry pot you will stunt the root growth at the time when it is most crucial. Water/fertigate the entire pot when it is needed.

Great information. I did not realize the taproot can grow at that pace. I JUST did a charging of the medium yesterday when I potted up so it's still wet. I guess I just need to dial in how much I should really water every day. When you say "water the entire pot", do you mean water until runoff?

If anyone knows a ballpark amount of water to get runoff in a regular sized autopot with coco/perlite, please let me know. I know a lot of autopot users use similar setups so I can at least find out where to start.

I was thinking about just adding 75mL for the first few days and now I'm just not sure.

Also: @Mañ'O'Green , :p Someone referred you to me for help with feeding.

Always fertigate Coco to about 15% run-off to waste. Just fertigate slowly until run-off is visible and stop. You will get about the right amount of runn-off like that.

My 2 part schedule for photoperiod plants is tested and ready for others to use. I will run autos in my next grow starting soon. I have scratched in what I will start with but I make corrections as I grow so it can be used with that caveat.

Day 2: (11/23/20) First Watering
Day 2: (11/23/20) First Watering

I just took what Megacrop Part A + B had on the bag and half'd it. Simple as that.

Megacrop Part A + B and pH Down from Advanced Nutrients.
Starting Tap Water = 7.6 pH & 120 ppm
After Part A = 7.1 pH & 205 ppm
After Part B = 7.0 pH & 350 ppm
After pH Down = 6.2 pH

Trying to calibrate it weekly, might be excessive.

RH inside my tent last night, I added a small humidifier before I went to bed.

Just a lil guy, nothing special.

This is what it is this morning. 55 RH.

& just some extra pictures because I like documenting. The 2 part Megacrop dissolved very nicely.

Thank you for checking back in. :)

EDIT:

Started with 5 gallons of water.
Math wanted me to add 3.75g of Part B and 6.25g of Part B

How much I actually watered my pots? Probably like 500mL-700mL because I think I let it dry it too much last time.

I went from checking every week to every month with myApera ph60 and even still only misses by 0.1... it's a damn good meter!
