Grow Mediums 100% Coco?

So I did a little more research on soil oxygen sensors just for shitz and giggles...
And I found this...> http://www.ictinternational.com/products/icto2/icto2-soil-oxygen-sensor/

I wonder if anybody has ever done some research on feeding plants a mix of water with hydrogen peroxide (for growth).
We know the h2o2 is good against bacterial growth, but what about feeding the plants on a regular basis for more oxygen??

Lets take that one step further, a water bubbler with ozone driven through it?
Both anti bacterial, and double the oxygen...hmmm there's O3 for thought.
After all, Ozone is O3,... oxygen with more molicules attached.

The secret to the success of the aero cloners is getting O2 into the water and splashing the roots with air filled water (simple).
@Waira , this is a nutty idea,...but has it been tested to anybodys knowledge?? :crying:
No idea on the hydrogen peroxide or ozone research, or oxygen sensors. The health and density of roots at the end of my grow are all the research I need for the moment. I got over 300 grams dried from my first somewhat screwed up grow in a 2x4, which says more about autopots and Mephisto genetics than it does about my technique. Autopots really work well, maybe on par with hydroponics, but no electricity required, at least not for delivery of nute mix. I will definitely be continuing with them both with pot and other growables.

As for the cost of the perlite, my used coco/perlite mix still looks great, smells great. and feels great, so I will be re-using it after a good rinse and re-buffer. And I still have most of my ~$15 bag of perlite left, so the cost isn't too bad in my books. To each his or her own, but I am happy with the combo of coco/perlite, fabric pots, and autopots. Maybe next time I will be brave enough to see how big plants can get with less topping and trimming...

Happy growing George, and I love the stoner community moniker. :pighug::cheers:

I've read a few very interesting grow journals and saw that 100% coco has been brought up, but wondering if anyone has experience doing just that? Are clay pebbles or perlite still used as the bottom layer? Would I put the copper paper down, then airdome, then just cover with coco. Do you recommend precharging your coco? Planning in using general hydroponics 3 pack of liquid nutes - can I use this to precharge? Also wondering if adding dolmolitic lime to my coco as a dry ammendment would work in place if adding cal mag. Sorry for so many questions, coming over from soil and don't want to totally mess it up.
I use 100% coco with air dome. I do not pre-charge. No clay pebbles. For many of us the simplicity of the system is why we were attracted to it in the first place. I only am using Mega Crop 2 with some Cal/Mg. It is a weed, all we can do it let it live and not kill 'em.

Doesent sound like roots would get proper amounts of oxygen with just coco and nothing for aeration. It is recommended to use something for aeration and they sell premade mix of coco/clay pebbles. I dont really get why would you want to do something that is not recommended and can cause problems for obvious reasons when you dont save any time and a bag of coco with pebbles already mixed in costs only like 2 dollars more than straight coco?

Im sure airdome will help with aeration, but when there are no pebbles and just wet coco, well you are going to get air tunnels in the soil and soil wont get as oxygenated as when the air would flow more freely in soil. Does it oxygenate enough? maybe, maybe not, likely just enough, but still not optimally.

Just sounds like a silly idea, even tho it will likely grow an plant, most likely the plant wont grow as well as it could with more aeration.

Only pro you might hope with using straight coco is to save like 20 cents per pot in soil cost, but at the cost of your plants likely not growing at their full potential and there is a chance that you might even run into some bigger problems because of this also. Your yield will surely suffer for saving that 20 cents per pot because buying 100% coco instead of premade mix of coco/pebbles. I cant imagine a person for who this would be worth the risk and reduced yields.

60/40 coco clay balls sucks ... Gold label run of straight out of the bag had an EC of 1.8 with ro water the other week not a good place to start ... I've done some test and the roots are at least twice as good with more coco in the mix ( the top but all coco) and gradually getting more clay ballsto the bottom of the pot... I'm thinking about getting rid of the hydrocorn all together
