Germination: got a few pics of different stages of germ. Started with 4 seeds, one didn’t make it past popping out of soil. These will be grown in 5 gal SIP buckets with peat based reclaimed soil I amended with dr earth 4-4-4 last year. Will be using greenleaf nutrients mega crop in reservoirs. Lights are at 24/0 as of now

Running Dr Earth amended soil with Mega Crop in the reservoir is a solid hybrid approach. The dry amendments handle the base feed through the soil while the reservoir gives you flexibility to adjust during stretch. SIP buckets with 24/0 tend to push strong early root development since the roots find the water layer faster without a dark period.

So today, as I have been slack on my postings I’ll be posting first visuals of female parts on the bigges of the vanilla re-up girls. Y’all will think it’s funny, but I have two re-ups in one 5 gal SIP… kinda a mistake cuz I only had 3 sips ready and all four beans popped! Then one keeled over in its own pot. Couldn’t transplant one from the double (shock) so stuck with where they are at. The large one is showing her girl parts and I am sure that the one in the same pot isn’t far behind… gonna be a mess if the small one catches up.
The little bitty one in the pot out back/right is a sugar cube by twisted tree genetics. Thought I had lost that one and went looking for it one day, couldn’t find it! Well a week later, there she is. You will see her progress here with minimal details and more in my personal journal. Not even sure what day it is but the big girl was showing on Friday. I’ll have to include it in next post! We are at 1gpg of Megacrop in the reservoir and stepping up every feed to 3.5 gpg. I’ll hold steady there unless I have issues. Ph’d to 6.3
