I’ll be growing in a 2 gallon pot with basic promix soil. This will primarily be an outside grow but I will move it in at night and put it under a cheap grow light in my utility closet
I like to keep my grows as simple as possible. The more I tinker the more mistakes I make.
Germination
7/19 7:30 AM-the soil was soaked through 7 days ago. Still a little moist. Planted straight to dirt and put out in the sun. Will be spritzing with water often to keep the seed wet.
The last pic shows the lean it acquired when a storm blew through and the wind kicked up while I was gone. She took it in stride.

Britta filtered water only until yesterday when I gave it a low dose of AN ph perfect Micro and Grow.
Keeping it simple. No topping, no LST, etc.
Outside 100% of the time for the last week. Getting sun around 11 hours a day with some shade during the middle of the day. Wrapping a white towel around it to help keep it from absorbing even more heat through the black container. Temps have been mid to upper 90s.
Looking happy and healthy so far.
Early Flower
33days-Still happy and healthy so far. A few bugs here and there, typical for being outside full time. Starting to drink more. Getting around a half dose of AN ph perfect Micro and Grow, Britta filtered water. No fiddling around so far, just trying to stay out of its way.
Impressed with Vanilla Re-Up popping in 48 hrs without soaking the seed. Just pre-wet the soil a week prior with filtered tap water and then straight to the soil, lightly covering the seed with soil. Sprayed with filtered water often to keep the seed moist. Then put under a cheap grow light in my utility closet.
7/25 Day 4-She’s been in my hillbilly rig/utility closet since planting. Just spritzing with filtered tap water so far. Seems to be doing great! Will stay put until it’s time to start hardening her to be outside.
That Vanilla Re-Up lineage is no joke. Special Reserve Cookies x Electric Bluegaloo x Ice Cream Paint Job is a solid mix of heavy hitters. Keen to see how those terps come through.
48 hours straight to soil without soaking says a lot about the seed quality. Simple grows tend to produce the best results honestly. Less tinkering means less chance to mess things up.
Spent the morning getting its first sunshine through an east facing window. Put an even cheaper grow light up close to help keep it from stretching too much
Also bottom fed a little water to encourage root growth
8/1 Day 11-Still doing very little. A bit of filtered water and spritzing. The last 4 days I’ve slowly been putting it in the sun. Up to an hour yesterday. Other than that it’s been under the grow light in my utility closet.
Day 14-First full Day outside. Had it in the shade around half the time. Need to decide what I’m going to do to insulate the black container so it doesn’t absorb as much heat in the direct sun.
Also, had its first thorough watering with plain filtered tap water. Will put it back under the light in the utility closet around 11:00.
