Hey Dabberjr here and just popped some auto seeds! My dad Dabber passed in 2025 and some of yall may have known him! What happened to all our old post and such? Also looking for pointers as this will be my first auto run and I’m trying to minimize heights and need light cycles I’m used to doing 12/12

Hey welcome back to the forum brother! A lot of the old/original heads are still here, and we see more trickle in over time! Your dad used to message me a lot.
The old forum has been officially taken off-line, after 15 years of numerous software changes, add-ons, and over 1.3 TB of attachments, we reached a point where it was a big, erroring mess. Further, the developers for Xenforo absolutely CRAPPED on us (I made a post on their dev site about the shitty support we were receiving as long time paying customers, and it turned into one of the hottest threads on their site for a week, as a horde of other customers came forward and shared their terrible support stories.) Needless to say, our already non-existent support became even more distant.
So we said screw it. Archived it. Took it offline.
And now we have this new hosted version of the site. Which we’re still building out, but there’s still some good AFN charm here.

I run 18/6 …if you use salts I wouldn’t go over half of your manufacturers feed charts…im newer to autos myself

Your dad was a good friend of mine. We shared notes in the beginning of our journey with Megacrop (nutrient line).
I can answer any questions you have….just ask away.
Light cycles… generally people run either 18/6 (18 on and 6 off), 20/4, or some run 24/0.
I generally think 18/6 is a good place to start, and will save you some electricity over the others. But any of those will work.
Auto seedlings are generally more nutrient sensitive in the beginning of life, than photos. So go easy on the nitrogen for the first ten days to two weeks.
They also don’t like to be overwatered early on. So go easy.

The easiest way of dealing with megacrop in my opinion is to plant in promix hp (if you can get it)….. that way the soil is pretty much inert, and you just add whats needed…. You won’t deal with stunted and burnt plants from too much N….unless you overdo the MC.

I remember you! I’m gonna run mega crop like daddy did and I think I’m gonna try the ocean fox farm as soil! I’m In a 3x3 tent and am trying to figure out how to shorten the plants so if all 4 seeds take they can grow in there! Is that possible?

Yes, see my above post for soil.
As for heights… this is easy….we’ll just train them to an even canopy using a scrog net (you’ll want to get one)…. The result should be an even screen of green tops covering the whole tent.

When I did my photos I added all the mycrozial Fungi for root growth does that pro mix all ready have it in it?

I miss him too right now I haven’t done a run of plants in a couple years and had to kill the ones I had going before he got bad off sick! Still got a little equipment and a few seeds! I’m gonna do some small runs and press it all down for feco and RSO! It’s not exactly legal where I am and it sux! I’ve been with out my med card for a year now smh!

So, here’s my easy peasy way of dealing with MC (this is for the one part, specifically).
Go to the dollar store and buy a cheap set of measuring spoons (for the kitchen).
Then, all your gonna do is:
Days 1-10 water only
Days 10-15 1/4 teaspoon of MC
Days 15-21 1/2 teaspoon of MC
Days 21-45 3/4 teaspoon of MC
Days 45-harvest 1 teaspoon of MC
These are LEVEL spoons, not heaping, mixed into a gallon of water. You’ll also want to have some of their calmg pro and sweet candy on hand. I’ll help you with those as needed. But this is a down and dirty feed schedule to get you started. You’ll tweak things along the way I’m sure. I used MC for so long I just pulled that off the top of my head 
Again, this is in promix hp. You will water to 10% runoff starting around day 25 or so. It’s not really needed much before that…

I also like to add a little hydroguard, once a week. It’s not absolutely needed, but will help with any root issues that may pop up.

He hooked me up with everything when I was in MO! Kelp sweet candy MC bud explosion and I have rootdrip by flora flex I add to the mix as well is that ok?
