Hi everybody,
This is my first go with autoflowers, new to AFN. I'm in week 5 from germ of 8 Gelato, 1 Banana Kush autos from ILGM. Started in coco in 3" net pots, then into rdwc (5 gallon buckets) 7" pots with hydroton.
Room 11' X 8' X9', walls mylared, background humidity<30%
Lighting: 2 green sunshine es300s.
Temp (air/ leaf/reservoir) 70-75°F
Rh: 60-65%
Reservoir 30 gallons
750 ppm, 5.9 pH,
GH Flora 3 part, hydroguard, superthrive.
Starting water 70 ppm, 7.8 ( pretty good!)
Co2: 1min / 4hrs 15cfm (really just to make up for lack of fresh air, not trying to supplement. For some reason Co2 is Crazy expensive and I don't have a controller with a sensor. Probably crank it when flowering)
Ventilation: none, oscillating fan on plants and box fan just moving air (trying to preserve my precious humidity!)
Humidifier: Inkline dual transducer running 24/7
Germinated January 14th.

Had some calcium and magnesium issues initially, seem to have outgrown it. Stupidly didn't light proof or do anything to prevent root rot, so I got some, minor. Fixed with hydroguard, roots looking good! Should have been more diligent about top watering until roots hit the water. I really can't believe that these will flower and finish in another 4-5 weeks, but I guess I will see. Advertised as 8 weeks, probably more like 10. Still only gives 5 more weeks? I'm sure I stunted them a bit , but overall looking pretty good. I have ~20 years experience on and off with photos in various mediums and systems, but new to autos and LEDs. I was going to Mylar the whiteboard, more for aesthetics than reflection (they have plenty of light, and I like the space station vibe) but didn't really want it blasting me in the eye. Part of the reason I spent big bucks on the Green Sunshine is that I like to spend a lot of time in the room, and they're a real joy to the eye. Even if plants didn't use green light (turns out they do!) the ability to see properly is reason enough to go broad spectrum in my opinion.
Anyway, here's some pictures, what does everyone think?

Thanks! I have to say I'd be thrilled if these were photos and I had all the time in the world, but I'm a bit worried I may have seriously stunted/retarded them. But I guess we will see.

I didn’t check the res for two days, they drank 5 gallons, ate 150 ppm and dropped the ph to 5.3. Whoops. Looking pretty good though. So much for uniformity. No one’s going to get exactly what they want, but I seem to have found a happy medium. Still getting rust spots, but minor..

Nute burn...
So a couple got a bit burned (and are beginning to Claw), others hungry for more. Guess I’ll drop to 600, I have to cater to my weakest plant. My usual approach is more Ghengis Khan than Richard Simmons, but I guess it’s time to do some hand holding. Still getting rust spots, which is probably a Ca issue, but again not affecting them all. Oh the fun of 9 seed-plants all running off the same res... still beats hauling all those buckets.

Foliar CalMag?
So I've convinced myself I have CA deficiency, my starting water is only 46 ppm! GH recommends adding calmag to the flora 3 part, so obviously I should add it. But it takes up so much ec! I don't want to waste my limited salt strength on mostly cal mag. Anyone have any ideas?

Nice space you have to play in there!

In response to your last question, would a foliar spray work? You could add what's needed and not effect the reservoir at all.

Thanks! Yeah, very glad not to be constrained to a tent. Am considering doubling the count, but am a bit concerned with overheating my reservoirs..the big ass air pump I got really heats up the air. Also be pretty cramped, but I’m flexible:)
I considered that, but just decided to add it since it's listed in the GH charts. Everything looks pretty good (except one, which I’m writing off) bit of nute burn, but should be ok. Visible growth since yesterday, feeding and drinking nicely. So much for a uniform crop! I might as well as had a variety of strains for all the good it did...
Defoliate a bit, had been resisting, tucking instead, but it was getting too jungly and as I have to combat minor powdery mildew, I took off anything less than healthy.
Btw, I really love the visibility from these broad spectrum lights. Even if plants didn’t use green (they do!) the abilitiy to diagnose is reason enough to eschew blurple (though I will admit they seem like a good idea). Hopefully a couple days of h202 spray should clear it up..

Ummm....
This is really crazy, they drank 150 ppm, 2 gallons and dropped the ph a whole point in 12 hours! (As well as sucking most of the color out of the solution) I

had forgotten how powerful dwc is. And how touchy. They are finally just starting to flower (seems late, but these are my first autos, so I really don’t know). 3 Stretched like crazy. 6 not so much. I’m baffled by the spotting. Adding Ca didn’t help, leaving it out didn’t help, I’m just admitting defeat on this, luckily it doesn’t seem catastrophic. This has certainly made me rethink my plan to double my plant count in that room. Would probably be courting disaster. Anyway, more pics if anyone’s following!

These plants are exploding. Finally beginning to flower (week 6). Need nitrogen, but sticking to 1:1:1 m:g:b ratio for transition. They are dropping the ppm 200 points in 12 hours, 4 gallons water drank.
Am I courting disaster keeping my res topped with occasional double strength added Very Slowly? I know it’s not going to be balanced, but otherwise I’m going to have to change my res every 2-3 days. Screw that. They’re certainly putting them to good use. And now I’m struggling to get my humidity below 65, whereas before I could barely get it over 50 with double humidifiers running constantly. I feel like they’d benefit from a higher vpd, probably be more beneficial than the co2..
Anyway, more pics! Grown dramatically in a few days ...
