New Grower First grow

hmm...since this has basically turned into a grow journal, lol, i've gone ahead & moved it to a more appropriate section ;) jus sayin & carry on plz....:smoking: ppp

5 weeks old today! Thought all night long on whether I should feed her another round of grow nutes or if it was time to switch to bloom nutes.. decided it was (hopefully) time to change , so fed her 4ml of sensi bloom A and B, also added about half a teaspoon of black strap molasses. Did another light defoliation to open her up some more, and removed lst wires. Still has a few curling tips and spots on some leaves, I'm hoping maybe she was just ready for some bloom nutes and now that she has them it will clear up. Moved light down a few inches to around 14" from top of canopy. Lots of budsites, hoping she will be a good yielder. Opinions? Thoughts? I have no idea what I'm doing lol. Every step I take I just hope isn't going to be the wrong one.

44 days old today. Had a problem over last little bit of leaf tips curling and crisping up. Removed a bunch of dead leaves, and stopped feeding her nutes. Got a ph and ppm pen, bought some distilled water. Tested my tap water, it was 49ppm, and 9.5ph. pretty sure the plant was overfed, and ph was off, so I flushed her, and have been only giving her 6.5ph water, at 35ppm for a little over a week now. 1gallon every three days is what she's been using.
A mix of distilled water, and my tap water ran thru a filter. She seems to be getting better, still growing taller, buds look bigger I think, and I see what I think are trichomes starting to come.
Wish I understood how to talk to the plant more, I know eventually she's gonna need some bloom nutes again, but I'm scared to burn her again. I think I almost killed her.

My water is luckily closer in ph, but I was headed in that direction myself. There is certainly a learning curve with nutes and reading your plants.

Looks like you got some decent size plants, and hey not bad for a first run right? Same boat as me, couple issues, learning to read the plant, what to adjust for, and how! At least we've got this nice support forum to get help from.

It's pretty fun though isn't it? I love how fast they grow and change. It can only get easier and better from here can't it?

I'm no expert brother and wouldn't question the ways of the beast.. but I think you've just went to hard on the AN. I use it and never go above 2ml per L personally and thats in flower..I keep it simple with 1ml per L in veg and 2ml per L in bloom.. and sometimes even thats too hot for my plants and I have to drop back to 1.5ml per L. My advice for what its worth is start your AN again but keep the mix lower.. maybe just start at 1ml per L bloom and go from there.. other than that you've done a great job for a first effort.. topping and training is very good.. i think you've just fed them too much.. but all is by no means lost. Hit me up if I can help you any further.. and good luck :d5: :karmacloud: H2G.
