Day 17 in the HydroBox!
Fan is helping the cooling :
Think i managed to hold off what looked like the beginning of root rot due to temps by using unfiltered tap water that smells like a swimming pool and a tiny drop of 20% H2O2 :
She's doing ok :
The Rot Stop arrived today so i've added that to the mix.

I have 3.5 feet vertical space and the box is 2 feet square.
I've only grown AKRs in 3L pots before and they never reached 2 feet high so hopefully enough room, it's a short strain so ...

hey steelrat your lady is looking real good mane! I'm gonna keep a watch on her, I'm trying decide if I want to run a DWC this next go around.. Good luck on her! ! !

My water-pumps arrived today :
My hose line still hasn't come, though.
My PPM meter calibration fluid arrived and as i expected my meter is WAY off.
The meter was reading 3.54 times the real value, so she's been enjoying a real PPM of around 300-600 (EC 0.4 - 0.8), wihch falls in line with everyone elses experience!
Trouble is, the meter didn't come with a cali stick and it has a strangely shaped hole, not a philips screwdriver shape.
Anyway i used a computer scredriver to get in there and adjust the thing and it is just a cheap piece of crap, it's uncalibrateable! Readings all over the place.
So will have to buy a better meter.
Outdoor AKR is doing ok, she's always gonna be slender and short but she's healthy and enjoying the outdoors :
