I have an indoor 4x4 tent, but was wondering if my autos will grow bigger in my greenhouse @ 11 hours of real sunshine then at 18/6 indoors with a '1200w' phlizon (200w at the plug) the 11 hours of sunshine will increase until june 21st as we all know.

has anyone compared the same strain and grow method side by side in the 2 different environments?

got links?

Thanks!

Cannabis will thrive with 42 to 60 DLI. Your current light is not producing an ideal amount of PPFD to reach the 42 DLI.

Use this map to estimate the DLI for where you live. If it is more than 34.34 the green house will be better.

i'm on the extreme tip of the PNW but on canadian side.
my 3 day old seedlings were bending towards the window, so it got me wondering if even a winter sun was better than an led

the sun gave me a lux reading of 36000 today

My light has a PPFD of 972.5 at 18" unless that info is wrong

Excuse me if I break into this thread like and idiota.I have a lighting problem too.
My led Is lumatek 200w but the techsheet reports only measurement in bigger tent than mine.
Here some image.
Now,my tent Is 2x 2 feet and the light Is dimmed at 60%=120 watt at 45-50 centimeters from canopy.
20/4 Is my schedule. Now,Is It enough for 2 autos and 1 photo?

Dude, I recall you saying a year or two ago that auto weed likes 28-32 DLI and that anything over 50 is arguably too much.. According to your chart and your new numbers, pot wont grow in the Pacific Northwest during harvest season. It also says that you cant grow weed anywhere in Florida. LOL

Have a look here buddy. Nothing can beat sunlight, even on a cloudy day
But...There's also a downside to growing inside a greenhouse...Humidity can be a b!tch to control :cuss:

we get 70 days of sun and no rain. but i do have a dehumidifier in the greenhouse, for september, for my photos

will an auto planted in a greenhouse with only 11 hours sunlight (18 hours in june) outgrow a plant grown indoors under an LED light 18+ hours the entire grow?

It Will sure be more resinous than the indoor One.Some Uv rays are responsabile for that.I tested this on my balcony vs indoor auto.
What I understand Is that the plant to defend itself from uvs createsi more trichomes .Also works with very dry climate

@Smokey42o This is the information from Philzon I an using.

In order to cover a 4x4 space you need to be at 24" and their chart says 530 Umols?

@jdm61 Yes I may have believed the lower DLIs were good in the past but new information about light is always coming out. I now believe 42 is the target number on the low side. Remember my statement says "thrive" not just grow. Back in the burple days I grew with 20 or less DLI and my plants and harvest numbers looked like it also. Light science continues to evolve.

I am not sure you are reading the DLI map correctly? Growing outdoors in the PNW is a real crap-shoot after mid September for so many reasons but the lower DLI is part of that. There is about 5 months in Florida that are not ideal for thriving cannabis. That does not mean it won't grow.
