Alright so im in desperate need of some help right now.. My first grow! Blue dream auto 40days old in 5gal grow bag 50/50 mix FFOF/HF.. First 3 weeks i only used my well water and adding roots organic cal mag.. She started preflowering during week 3 and i gave her recharge mammoth p and 1/4 big bloom ph'd at 6.3.. Start of week 4 i noticed what i thought was nute burn so last 3 times ive waterted her its been with plain well water testing run off ph and its been 5.8.. Its going thru a gallon of water ever 2 to 3 day.. My leaves are getting brown rust looking spots and yellowing and my stems are turning a redish purple.. Shes due for water today bag is very light.. Idk what to give it.. Plz help! I don't wanna kill her! Oh and my room temp stays around 79 when lights on and 70 with light off. Its on 20/4 cycle

Go to the infirmary section and fill out the form.
There is some very good experienced growers on this site! Tagging @Waira . He knows his stuff. Help me many times so I still need to invite him to Texas for some bbq

What week is the plant currently on? What are you using (or not using in this case) for nutrients? If I'm reading correctly, so far, you haven't fed the plant any real NPK. She looks hungry and deficient.

Thanks,
Shes at the beginning of week 6 above soil.. Ive only fed her once with both fox farm grow big and big bloom about 2weeks ago so about 4 waterings ago.. I only used 1/4 of recommended dose on bottle.. Thats the only nutrients shes had bc ive read so much about fox farm soils having alot of nutes already so i was iffy on even using it.. I only used cal mag once too.. Its 3weeks into flower now..

Well i top dressed the soil with earth worm castings and fed her 1tsp tiger bloom(calls for 2-3tsp) NPK: 2-8-4, 1tsp cal mag.. Hopefully that helps.. It was growing so nice first 4weeks and these problems have came on rather fast.. Im freaking out! Lol

You will be ok. Dont make any drastic moves. She is going to be ok. Take a breath you have to try pretty hard to kill weeds.

Learning here myself and this is not advice just hoping to see if the experts here think I am anywhere near the target. I think perhaps a little calcium and magnesium issue. As well as a little hungry. The purple petioles are no problem. Purple stems can be magnesium def. Rust spots on leaves possibly calcium def. Your PH seems ok so should not be lockout from that. I would personally fluctuate my PH up and down from 6.3 to perhaps 6.8. Maybe 6.5 next water and then 6.8 and back down. I would assume the possible calcium def is not the result of a potassium antagonist as I do not see heavy potassium use. It is smart not to full dose your plants (especially when young and tender); however, at this point she is in the fast lane. Her requirements are higher, therefore; you may want to up the dose from 1/4 to something higher.
Also slow down. Everything is going to be ok. You are doing great!
Thank you for helping me learn.

:toke:-- she's needing more bloom feeds! That soil is now where near rich enough to carry her well, especially now,....and look at BB more carefully... notice the NPK is all in the decimal range, very very weak. BB is great stuff, but the name is a misnomer, Tiger Bloom is what you should use, that's the base bloom nute counterpart to GrowBig,...
I'd lay off the Ca-Mg once you start nutes, unless your well water is very soft(low ppm/CaCO3 hardness)?
A little tip yellowing/browning is a pretty generic symptom, several things can cause that beside nute burn... the larger necrotic patches look like P defc. I think, need closer pics of that to be sure but most likely as it's in max' demand right now!
.... in-pot PH is something you need to start monitoring, and to do that you'll need a soil pH probe of some kind (often wrongly called meters; those are for liquids only)... The Accurate 8 (CPW) is a good unit, but the cheapo skinny probe units you see at garden centers are shit, don't bother! This more important than usual as long as you roll the dice with any Fuxfarts soils.. notoriously iffy in quality, often badly off pH right out of the bag; lousy composting/cooking, , garbage sticks, stones, even bugs... there are better soils for little more $, worth every extra dime IMO,...
