Topping vs Training

What's up fellow stoners and cannabis cultivators :smoking: It's been a minute since I've had an active thread and I just so happen to have these 2 beautiful ladies.

Both Forum Stomper bred by Mephisto Genetics. Germinated and moved to soil together about 10 days old now pretty well twins but everything about the one in the air pot is bigger, so why not a vs run. I will be topping the plant in the airpot and only training the one in the fabric pot. The topped plant will see some training as well. I have been seeing alot of questions about topping vs training I hope this thread will help answer some questions out there. I will update on feeding days and any time they receive any training and on topping day which is already close. I am expecting great things from these ladies.

I like bud explosion from greenleaf nutrients. I use it even when feeding with fox farm trio base nutes or any other for that matter. I run 1.5 grams per gal for 1 week at first sign of pistols then cut back to 1 gram per gal through pre flower and the " bud stacking" at first sign of actual calix formation within the clusters I go back to 1.5 untill just prior to harvest. I also run greenleaf nutrients sweet candy at 1.5 from week 2 until flush. Some plants seem to not take that 1st hit of BE bit it does not show for a week or 2. Pretty easy to correct I clean my roots and no pk for a week maybe 2. You can see the one lady didn't like it as much as the other.

Well I've stopped the toxicity issues I was having with the topped plant she dont look the best atm but shes still doing her thing.

Everything right on point with the trained plant she may have had some slight toxicity issues herself but I cought it ahead of time when the other one showed signs.

I think the trained one looks best. I’m getting ready to run my first ever auto run. Trying to get some info. And it’s good you mentioned the “air-pot” I got 5 of them 7gal. For the autos. First time using them also. I grow in “totes” in the grow room. But thinking of getting some 20gal. Airports for the next photo grow. I’m running a Electric Sky ES300. And killing it.

Each strain and pheno reacts different to each so it's a tough call to make but I do have my favorite strains for each method

I like them but they seem to be more prone to gnats

Well looks like I'll be harvesting quick before I leave. The topped plant packed on a shit ton of weight went amber and faded out during the last week. She could go another but for the sake of avoiding any tragedies ill chop her now and hang her whole untill I'm back.

And this lil bush will be fine untill I'm back and will remain on her water diet

Looks sweet Brotha, I hope my air pots fill up like that!!..I have sure enough ordered a lot of stuff for the next grow. I probably got enough stuff for the next 4-6 grows.
I’ll probably post my ingredients of addmendments I got, with what I think would be good measurements. And get some feedback. A lot of the stuff I have no past experience with I.E. Bio-char, azimuth, etc
