cant just run extensions as the cows feet will sever them...could dig them in I guess...but i would prefer to have this setup permanent...plug the shit in and go!! Unplug at the end of the season

Get a deep cycle battery, solar panel and a small inverter. Set it up where it is needed.
Farmers around here use this type of set up for small pumps and electric fences.

The only issue you may get is voltage drop over the 60ft, but the light at 15w shouldn't be to much of an issue.
To cover your bases just use a heavy duty extension lead over the thin household ones.

I was reading something about that and the guy was saying that volt drop would be more of a concern over bigger distances (1 volt drop per 100 feet). I have a lot of unknown techy stuff i need to mess with!!

So my plan....is we have a barn....100 feet away that has power...i was going to run power form the barn down to the security station(which will have the suerveillance monitor ect) using proper underground power cable and wire in a box.. Then 60 feet away is the garden where i need the siren tower, and the IR flood light to extend range of the IR cameras. They come with 60 foot cables

Down here we run 240v and voltage drop is taken into consideration once you hit the 50m mark. Over 50m you start to derate the cable.

If you have to run cables for the camera you may as well dig the trench and bury them.

Go the battery system with wireless cameras. Then you have a mobile security system. No need to worry about power failures.

I think you will find it wont cost to much.
Compared to the cost of parts to run a dedicated 60ft circuit with lots of digging.

I weighed out the two options of wireless and wired cameras quite a bit..i ended up going with wired because of cost and the fact that i can get power down there relatively easily
