Wonder if you could also get away with a 12v deep cycle battery with inverter then hook up a solar trickle charger to recharge the battery during the day.

Yes sir, went from 60 gallons of water/feed per week and feeding every 36 hours to filling a 25 gallon reservoir once every 2 weeks. That’s nearly 200 gallons saves per month and a heck of a lot of labor.

Okay....putting an offer to get that ir for $20 shipped....will also buy a chord now. Want to test these things in early spring, so i have time to buy more if they work well

Well Tuesday's almost gone here and looking forward to tomorrow as I'm gonna unbox the tent to set it up.

the tesla lithium stores 14 kwh. LG, Mercedes, BMW, and a few others are making battery banks too. The range from 5 kwh to 25 kwh and $3k to $25k installed.

I have not been able to find actual wattage per sq ft on the tesla roof tiles yet, but found that it's %25 less than current panels. Once Tesla's new gigafactory is in full production the prices will drop. It's still smart to wait a year. I just patched a hole in my roof so I could wait it out.

If you where DIY inclined, I wonder how much you would pay for a wrecked prius or tesla so you could strip out the battery packs?

I want to hook that up to an AC power source about 60 feet away..not sure what I need

The only issue you may get is voltage drop over the 60ft, but the light at 15w shouldn't be to much of an issue.
To cover your bases just use a heavy duty extension lead over the thin household ones.
