Mate, my 1st hydro set up, in the 90s, was a bucket with a tank connecter in the bottom dripping into some guttering! The light was a 400 HPS borrowed from a warehouse and the ventilation was a vent axia straight out of the karsy at work! Still, I was smoking skunk when most could only get soap bar or 'mersh' weed. Form follows function.
Hell yeah ........early nineties for me too .....just once though ....it was a 600 hps from the outside of a hotel haha ....in a cupboard and it worked out fine.......but never really was able to again as my exwife was whiter than white .......

Yeah .....Vlad told me haha .......my lass doesnt smoke ,doesnt mind as im not a lazy fckr,it was her idea to do it when i lost my job offshore........best thing ive ever done............and this is the closest i will ever come to social media.......[emoji111]
