Good afternoon fellow AFN members and welcome to my Zipolite Oaxaca grow.:pass:

I'd like to start off by thanking @gbd for the beans and the opportunity to maintain my Sativa Samurai moniker:worship:
Thank you Sir:toke:

These beans are from Nierika Seed Trust.
A division of Bodhi Seeds focused on the preservation and breeding of landrace genetics.
Here's a pic of the package received.

They'll be vegged until they sex out.
The females will be topped and clones will be taken.
Males will move to the male tent and live out their days there until pollen is collected.

Thanks for stopping by!

:d5: -- ooOOooo,... Very interesting Ronin buddy! You had me at landrace,... I'm going to have to go eye-hump their catalog soon,.... :hump:  Lots of renewed interest in landrace genetics these days, all for the better IMO,... Sati's, Indi's with more of the less common cannabinoids in them missing from most of the "modern" hybrids... Plus I'm just fascinated with ancestral genetics, and what makes then different from the sea of hybrids and tinkered-with IBL's... So many of the Sativa's I love, but can't grow outdoors here due to improper climate! A couple years back, Astronomy420 tried to grow a Nepalese Sativa called Purple Paro Valley, and it was a comedy watching him wrestle that bitchy Dragon Queen during bloom! She wanted 3x the tent space and height :eek1: ... he found some pics of her in-ground... they're sufficient for 2nd story privacy hedging! Amazing, wispy beautiful structure, almost like a bamboo patch in appearance,... Astro got lovely classic sati' bud with unique aromatics and buzz,... I grew some Acapulco Golds this last season (Barney's Farm version), and they turned out wonderful even with late start and KindSoil P snafu's during bloom! Many of the "old schoolers" here were intrigued by AG, having smoked the real deal back in the day, and it makes me wonder how close to the original these are...:eyebrows: .... I'm dyin' to try some African sati' strains too, but nothing I find will work out here, alas,...so far at least!
I can't find much info about this strain Ronin, can you tell us more about her? I hear Central American landrace strains are among the most potent out there,... :coffee:- really looking forward to seeing these exotic beauties strut their stuff man! :goodluck:

>> GBD! :pighug: how goes it mate?

Woohoo! The party has started! All the best with these jewels, can't wait to see what they're all about!
Thank you Sir:toke:
Just hoping these will be a bit more manageable than the Colombian Blacks:devil:

Thanks for stopping by @Waira :pass:
Yes, the landrace and original genetics have taken my interest in a major way.
Really interested in growing the varieties that I was smoking back in the early 90's.
I've achieved that with the Highland Oaxacan Gold and Santa Marta Colombian Gold that I've run recently.
I'm currently running some Colombian Black sativas (Thanks again to @gbd ) at day 100 of the flip. Just another month or so to go:biggrin:
Just need some Chocolate Thai to bring me full circle:thumbsup:
But that's what the summer will entail... Thai's, Vietnamese and Malawi's:headbang:
Just a FYI.. The Purple Paro Valley is Bhutanese. From the Paro Valley of Bhutan:cheers:

As far as info on the Zipolite goes...
Bodhi has a few threads with all the info on another forum, but the short and sweet of it...
He made 2 collection trips in 2009/2010 to Oaxaca Mexico.
Specifically the Zipolite beach area. He collected seeds and has since had them worked and tested.
A nice uplifting energetic high can be expected from them.

uhhhh,... right! Bhutan-- What'd I say?

... Ahh man, Malawi Gold,... haven't seen that in a couple years. Somebody locally was growing it fairly often, and it'd show up in 1 or 2 dispensaries,... same with Red Congolese! ...come to think of it, wasn't there a Dragon that had Nigerian in it? One of ol' MrN's crosses,...
:smoking: Thai! I'm eyeing Wild Thai (World of Seeds) as a possibility; the auto version is very nice! But there's a DP strain called Desfran that I may have to try first, the description makes me drool- --Oaxaca, Colombian Punta Rojo, and Meao Thai cross... it's a risk I'm willing to take! I figure with a little weather luck and an earlier start, if I can get the AG to finish OK, I have a chance with Desfran as well... CannaBioGen has some nice landracey SA strains too: Punta Rojo, Panama, Colombian Mangobiche,...
Thanks for the info mate,.. Oaxaca makes me salivate double, coz of the fantastic mole's that come from there as well- What a meal that'd be, chicken mole for dinner, and local origin smoke for dessert.. just before dessert!:pie: .... you can outright kill me later this year Ronin, posting this very menu! :pass:

... how was the Highland Oaxaca and Santa Marta? -any pics? I'd LOVE to see this goodness if possible, please!

Hey dude, long time no see! Speaking of mole, @Ronin made the best mole I've ever had in my life! Skip the Dutch Passion Desfran, get the actual Destroyer! That's the strain DP took and reproduced as their own strain, calling it Desfran. Support the true breeder that put over 7 years of his life into the work, through Cannabiogen. Hope our paths cross more often! All good things to you in 2017!

@Magic and I have a Highland Oaxacan Gold x Santa Marta Colombian Gold x Wild Thai in the works right now.
We're currently running the f2's.
No need for the Desfran.
Gotta agree with @gbd on staying with CannaBioGen:thumbsup:
Don't get me started on molé.

The H.O.G. x S.M.G. I grew was a cross called Zapotec from Norstar Genetics.
Loving the flavor and taste.
On top of it being a beautiful plant.
