UPDATE: Day 47 ... (for some, but not all)
It doesn't matter how many times I had mentioned it in this thread, and regardless of how much I knew it was a very real clear and present danger, nothing ... N-O-T-H-I-N-G can prepare you for that gut wrenching reality of discovering the first proof of stem boring caterpillars and the resultant bud rot.
For some who have been reading this journal, but have never experienced it, I want to provide a photographic journal of this specific issue, so you can see how utterly destructive it is, and how you need to be ever vigilant to have any chance to beat it.
Just to recap, the white moths are the culprit.
They lay their eggs on the plant, which then as larvae feed on the plant and BORE HOLES inward, into the stem.
This is why you can not detect them until its too late.
They are hidden from view and destroy the stem from the inside out.
It is their faecal matter that creates the visible bud rot, but the true damage is the bore holes which is how they get into the inner structure of the plant.
Here are the photos [hopefully] showing the specific issue they cause.
Oh FYI - this was a single bud discovered on the Blow Mind Auto No. 1.
There is no hesitation - you cut the bud off.
No ifs.
No buts.
You lose the battle to win the war.
As you can see, the rest of the bud looks perfectly healthy, and it would be easy to think it can be saved, given the relatively small area of 'disease'.
No.
There is no saving it.
Lose the whole bud, take it on the chin, move on.

To the left can be seen the Secondary bore hole.
Good image showing the PRIMARY bore hole and the resultant bud rot in relation to the whole bud.
Again, PRIMARY bore hole and resultant bud rot.
Bud rot, with SECONDARY bore hole visible to the left.
SECONDARY bore hole, with what could in all probability be, a TERTIARY bore hole.
SECONDARY bore hole upper pic, with the PRIMARY bore hole lower pic, with what is in all probability a TERTIARY bore hole just below the SECONDARY bore hole.
Good image of SECONDARY and PRIMARY bore holes in the stem, with a much smaller [probable] TERTIARY bore hole immediately to the right of the SECONDARY bore hole.
