I can't remember if we spoke about it already or not, but I would look into General Organics CalMag. It has a NPK of 0-0-0. I was running into issues on full strength AN because it's 4-0-0.

Thanks! Good to know.

I'm a little more relaxed with the chop date this time.
It also means I might be able to stagger the harvest and trim nightmare ... but that might require a second dedicated drying tent.

Hmmm ... :oops1:

Feeding time for the ladies.
Mixed it up again.

The general consensus in the infirmary re: nutrient deficiency issue on the leaves was a Cal-Mag deficiency, possibly as a result of Nitrogen toxicity.

I'm relatively comfortable with that, given the dark green colouration to many of the leaves (N-tox) and the yellowing coming through on some (Cal-Mag)

So the diet was amended to try and simultaneously address both possibilities.

Base nutrients were switched to the Lucas Formula using General Hydroponics Flora MICRO and BLOOM only.
Theory being, the Lucas Formula is premised on there being enough Nitrogen in the MICRO to sustain the plant, rendering the GRO as superfluous to needs. Given the possibility of N-tox, this seemed a pretty obvious and positive adjustment to make.
Ratio of MICRO:BLOOM is a simple 1:2.
Easy peasy.

Also seemed a logical thing to do given the AN Cal-Mag supplement has N-P-K of 4-0-0, so there is additional Nitrogen there too. [thanks to @MeefChief for the heads-up on this one!]

In hindsight, if the GH Flora GRO has Nitrogen surplus to requirements when using the GH Flora MICRO, and then adding a Nitrogen heavy Cal-Mag supplement as well, it's not hard to see how a Nitrogen toxicity situation could arise. Nitrogen can lock out Calcium ... yada yada yada ... suddenly you have dark green leaves and a Cal-Mag deficiency.
Voila!

It's also time to throw the turbo boost onto bud fattening and resin production, so today I gave the girls a taste of the secret weapon - Radical Nutrients Compact Buds. Have to tread very carefully with it - it can send the EC through the roof.

Compact Buds is a PK 5-38 enriched with calcium and amino acid synthesis,
the high proportion containing phosphorus and potassium...

Yay ... more Calcium.

Just as an afterthought ...

I made a point this Grow of letting the girls have their own head, and allow them to grow au naturale, without restraint, nor training.
At this stage, I don't think I'll be doing that again.
Never say never ... but its a strong feeling - let's put it that way.

It was a worthwhile experiment, and I'm glad I have done it - but I'm a little concerned at the number of popcorn sized buds on Campus.
I'm pretty confident this is as a result of the lower limbs and bud sites not having as much exposure to the HPS gods, that they would have, had I continued with the studies promoted by the @Hazy School Of Caning, or similar, and spread those girls as often and as wide as I could muster the power and energy to do so.

Lesson learned.
Worthwhile comparison.

Especially for the Cream Caramel auto and the Cream Mandarine Auto, which were present in both Grow #1 and this Grow #2.
But also for the Green Poison Auto, when comparing the top buds to the lower buds. They just look small, light and airy, and like they could have had so much more potential.

Sure, there's another week or so to go before the flush, but that's just my observation at this stage of the game.
Would LOVE to be proven premature and wrong!

You've done a great job man, but your thoughts are correct, I've learned a lot from the masters here and I LST every time cause I need to control height and found that the plants love it!
Also, if you can add some CFLs from the side, they help a lot to stimulate growth from lower branches
