Well live and learn I say. I asked my wife and she haden't heard of it either. Up here we got Gucci bags and those french ones called Louis Viton than women are hot for but no Coach bags. I guess I will goggle it and look into it.

They are some top of the line hand bags, very expensive, well made and they last for years. Most women I've known covet them.

Cool...!
Found Ferti-Lome Perlite with NOTHING in it. I'm making up a small batch of Mr Piggy's suggestion (post#3) to see where the pH runs to. Will report back.
1 gallon RO start 29ppm/ 7.5pH
1 ml SuperThrive 29ppm/ 6.5pH
WoW! ONE whole point of pH lowering power.

In at 6.5 - out at 5.8pH something is putting in additional acid.
600ml Lamberts
100ml Blk Kow
100ml Castings
200ml Perlite

I'll try out Muddy's suggestion, as well.

You're all good. Just add a little lime to that mix, water and in a few days you should be spot one

Ain't got no Lime.

That made up about litre soil.

I may use my tap water that's hard... very hard. heck I live on a beach of sand... I have lime deposits on my toothbrush!

Yeah... maybe so. I did a little test with it straight up and it ran out at about 7pH. That was after beers and I have to think back on that one.

Haha. Nice. I know how that is... Just get your ratio of add ins: Lamberts 7 ph until you get to 6.5 and roll out.

Don't use tap water to wet the mix, the chlorine in most tap kills microbes. Or at the least find out if it has chems in it by contacting your local water bureau. I'd go with muddy's suggestion of nixing the cow and making it worm castings. You also really need to get that powdered dolomite lime, it doesn't just balance the ph of the mix it adds cal/mag. Might want to make the pearlite three parts as well.

Piggy, I live in the woods on a beach in a glade on the Florida/ Cuba peninsula, off the beaten path, under a palm tree with a wife, a dog, and a cat. I pull my water from the ground straight up and nothing between me and the hole but pipe. I’m good on the chlorine. I do have a bottle of bleach, though.
My local store/ non Big Box didn't have domolite. So I'll look again next week. You guys have to add into the little additions time, fuel, and effort to just get a little some some and put it in. I get 11 miles a gal on my rig and have about 25 minutes one way to even get where they sell anything. And the lunch money SHE's commenting on.

We'll see how it goes when the new baby girls grow a little more. I may find a buck or two in the couch cushions. Unless the vaccum got 'em.
