Organic Experiments under the Scorpion Diablo

Well my ladies are sailing along smoothly still. I did screw up and forgo to PH my water ( I use RO with a little cal/mag added ) but so far I see no signs of problems.
They are starting to build buds and are still stacking them! Got my fingers crossed, this may end in my best three plant harvest indoors ever! The plant in the first pic is the biggest but also the slowest, her buds have not started to fatten up yet compared to the other two. I think tomorrow they'll get a top dressing and an EWC slurry. Should be enough to keep them cruzing to the finish line.

Girls are still chugging along! Bud are starting to fatten up. The smallest plant took a hit from that un-PH'd water a couple weeks back but she doing ok. Looks like she'll be the first to finish buds are ripening quickly. She already has some red pistils. The other two are still white pistils. All are looking quite frosty! I'm drooling every time I go in and take a wiff og=f them. Ran out of GDP bud about a month ago lol! GDP will be a permanent member of my stash!

@Big Sul

Hmmmmmmmmm thought I had updated this last week...

So we'll start with Monday. I decided it was time to chop, but I though the lower plants looked like it should go a bit longer. I chopped just the first foot off the main cola and the tallest branches/colas on both plants. Just those colas will be about 160-170 grams dry! Today, the plants looked like the remaining buds had fattened up quite a bit in just a few days! So I chopped the big plant. I didn't realize just how much bud was on this one! I'm going to guess this plant is going to give 10-12 ounces just from today's harvest! So I might pull a pound from this one plant! I didn't expect that as the smaller one I chopped last week is "only" going to weigh out to about 100-120 grams. And I still have 2/3 of the last plant to chop! Ohhhh yeah great harvest in the works. Total will be well over a pound for sure! And that's not counting popcorn buds there weren't a lot really, maybe an ounce.
I LOVE growing organic in 10 gallon pots! This one plant is the best organic single plant harvest I've ever had. I'm in GDP heaven!

Looks like i din't post the pics of the first plant chopped either so hers she is first:

Harvested the last plant! Leaving these payed off well! I figure at least a 10% increase in harvest weight, you could see the buds had gotten bigger. Very little popcorn.

that last plant is still drying but I weighed the rest today and m7 estimate was way off....... Right now I'm at 473 grams and the last 2/3 of the last p lant is still drying! Over a pound so far from three organic plants, I did some minor defoliation on them that's it. One top dressing of EWC.
I'm guessing there is another 120-160 grams. Then add 50 grams for the Azure Duck for the total for the light

And I had room for another GDP! If I'd grown 4 plant I might have hit 2 pounds! And not complaining, just saying anyone could do this!

Bud pics soon!

Next up is a soil experiment. I'm trying some super simple soil mixes. If the get low on nutrients, I'll feed the Megacrop. But the idea is to see if I can grow with just soil and compost. I'll run five two gallon pots of that mix. I'll run five pots with 40% compost, 10% EWC, and 50% soil. The rest will be my normal mix.
I'll be running 6 Emerald Triangle Blueberry Headband regulars in hopes of saving this strain from extinction. I'm also going to pollinate one of 2, Mataro Blue from Kannabia, and 6-10 Black Dragons. I also have 2 Fat Blueberry autos from Linda Seeds, and 3 Auto Mazar XL from Linda seeds. The Mazar may get 3 gallon pots, got to figure out my layout for all my spaces. It's going to be interesting!

I think you'd stand a better chance of a water only grow with larger pots, but the MC is a easy and good back up.

Oh, I definitely agree on pot size! This is really more about breeding so I din't actually expect them to go the distance on just water. Still, am curious to see how they do in these mixes. My ten gallon post will probably back in action next grow!

well....... this grow was less than sub-par. Several plants just did almost nothing. I let them continue anyway but really, they've been mostly a waste of space. I did noting with them as I was having some serious back issues, they're lucky the even got watered lol! I'll be starting a new grow shortly, I'm considering bringing my 10 gallon Grassroots pots back in, or possibly dropping a 4x4 Grassroots raised bed un this light! Now that could be interesting and I could finally do a sustainable no till, continuous gorw. I'll get picks of what's left of the sad plants tomorrow.

The tent with the Diablo based DIY light is doinf well. I have a mix of Auto Mazar and GG autos form Linda Seeds in there.
