Here again is the 2006 Female Seeds Northern Lights. I have successfully selfed her... I guess sorta my first s1. Lol. I got ideas for her down the road but at this point just wanted to preserve the seed also found one other nl from that pack may try to hit to make true f2. So many freaking idea not enough space or room as it now trying to narrow down which project to work next to take it further... Will sample all of what's brewing now and than go from there... As in all honesty to run a min of 6 to 10 plants each time and than either sampling or testing ( working on that) to find the best to move forward... Right now I also want to work in a couple of my own auto bases to use to take photos to autos.... Lol sorry for the ramble just my head is in overdrive thinking of this stuff.... Lol and trying to prioritiZe the next step... Worse thing I could do is bite of more than I can handle:.. I may not have a farm and may not be able to grow 50to100 samples at a time to choose but I can make choices on a smaller scale and only proceed with simply the best if not than time to move on.... Well enough here are pics of the NL in flower she's been at 12/12 now I'd say aprox a month... Give or take... Her seeded clone is allready dropping ripe seeds on her own....

Indeed, in 4 multi pots you can make pretty good selection with 50 beans per pot for example. 200 beans total. You will spot the winners if you know what you are after  Try it some time - for me it’s the perfect method of testing many plants in small grow area and picking the best with desired traits even photo/auto crosses under 24/0 to hunt the autos on F2/F3:Sharing One:
 on that stone. In trying my first multipot now for a test grow I'm doing... Got four in the 2gal airpot.. I'm able to observe noticeable characteristics wish in breeding I can see will be helpful for to pick for structure color etc ... But my first goal foremost is potency....currently looking into getting one of those home tlc kits to she as a guide in a more educated way to proceed.... Especially when I start playing with the cbd meds.... I see this as a life long pursuit to dankness excited about the prospects of this home testing kits if it's something that I think I'll be able to do... Just though am looking to see with those kits if it's possible to prepare just one or two samples at a time or if you need to process many and run them at once???
Here is the site I am looking at: http://montanabiotech.com
seena like it could be such a fantastic tool to help guide us....
Maybe with these White Urkle x Lowryder X Jems I'll do a 3gal air pot and just throw a handful of beans in there...... Will be quite the experiment....
Thanks for sharing, pretty descent prices  I’d love to hear how their TLC test performs. What do you think of those tests for potency? I rely most on my evaluation of the smoke you know :smoke: and field THC/CBD tests can give good directions how to proceed.
I used AlphaCat kit recently and it gives an idea what’s in your buds and full cannabinoid fingerprint and chemotype profile of the plant that is very cool.
That’s the way man - breeding with scientific methods :gthumb:
Hey yoda, sounds pretty wild man.looking forward to ya work it.
hey Stone,I saw you mention the alphacat.I was talking with a husband and wife couple in the industry out West and they told me to check this out.Thought you might wanna take a peek..?They say its the best they have used but i dunno.
I've been peeping that device for the longest! Would LOVE IT! As it sounds just what I'm looking for.... When they begin to ship I will have one in hand
Well, instead of putting this in breeders corner thread. I was thinking maybe the thread could be moved ?
I currently got White Urkle x Lowryder x Jem. These I guess we'll call p1's (for parents 1) from this selection it than will take us to f1. I was speaking with stone picking his brain to ask for help and we thought it would be best for all to keep all the breeding question out of pm's so he and other can all help along and learn along.
I have decided to take Stones advice and just filled a 2gal airpot with sunshine mix #4. I than popped no less than 40beans into this pot... I will be updating pictures daily if not multiple times a day. I will be looking for the most vigorous healthy looking seedling from the ones that pop... What ever ones are lagging or just are not up to par with the other will get culled with no prejudice. I than in another week or two will plant one pot up like that.... Should give us a real good idea what we got here. Let's help each other observe the difference take notes suggestions of ones to keep to kill etc... Who knows maybe will this sorta of Become a breeders corner specially bred strain...
here we go:
the pot:
Update 4 seeds have popped there heads today... So 10%germ rate in the first 48hrs straight to soil method. Three of the seedlings still have their casing stuck on them... I will not disturb them though as this is all about survival of the fittest... I have them now on a heat mat under a 90w bysen led. (Will leave on 24/0)
I am trying to figure this out... The mother WUxLR was very light sensitive which leads me to believe out of the possibilities of it carrying the auto gene it would be Aa. Now I crossed it to a aa(auto). So of I'm following correctly I should have end up with 50% Aa and than 50% aa for these beans??? Sound about right?
