So what do you think? Should give them the chop? I know people have different tastes and different preferences. I'm looking for something a bit heady but also want some stoney feeling. How long do you think I should leave them for. I've been flushing for two weeks now so may have been a bit early with it but the sugar leaves are getting crispy and turning yellow

Get a Jeweler's Loupe. When the trichome are nearly all cloudy the harvest window opens:

Some clear mostly all cloudy = a cerebral, racy high.

All cloudy with 20% amber = a balance mind/body high

All Cloudy with 40% amber = sleepy time/couch lock buzz

All Cloudy with 50% plus amber = over ripe.

Ditto MOG!
There's that flushy thingy again. I don't get it, but you may have started it too soon.
Yes, @WildBill I do not believe in flushing. You are depriving the plant of needed nutrients right when the buds are fattening up? That is why the sugar leaves at turning yellow the plant is moving the nutrients to the buds. The thing is if the leaves are dead (yellow) they cannot produce the energy to convert the nutrients into cannabinoids. This is also why I do not defoliate much - just for good airflow through the bottom. The quality of my bud increase considerably when I stopped defoliating too much.

Sadly, I think you have demo'ed one of the reasons why flushing might not be such a good idea - you have starved and stressed your plants for two weeks, but you still have lots of white pistils which usually means that buds are not done. It is very tough to predict accurately two weeks ahead when the buds will be ready.

You still have some green left, so if your trich check still shows a lot of clear, I would feed her until the trichs are done.

I don't flush, for this among other reasons.

It only make sense. I'll feed and water until I cut.
I will only purposely defoliate for air flow. More leaves means more photosynthesis with means more bud.

Ok, 2nd yr growing. I have 3 White Widows,
Tri’s are 90% cloudy a few clear and 1 or 2 light ambers. Going to give them a few days due to
Heavy rains the last week. Then harvest.
Drying
Room is 72*F and 52%RH
I do dry trimming also
All organic soil
These are the last of this patch.
Just don’t want to screw up now!!
Also looking for new seed companies in the USA
Thanks

I think those buds dont look all that bad. not great, but workable.
the flushing thing def I wouldnt recommend that early again.
I personally would say since the leaves are turning brown and drying up, cut her down. or do a staggered approach and harvest only the highest points.
