I remove leafs if I cant tuck them out of the way all the time. To figure out if its for you or not experiment. Uncover a bud on one branch and not the one on the opposite side of the plant. You will see the branch you uncovered grow more than the one you did not. My current plant is only at day 20 or 21 from breaking the surface and in pre flower. I have removed 4 leafs today on the main stem so the side branches can get better light. I don't care if I am 3 weeks in to a grow or 1 weeks from harvest. you might be loosing a good leaf but the leafs below it now have more light and will do more work than if they were in the shadow. I try to remove the minimum to get the desired effect and try tucking the leaf first before resorting to removal.
 
That's a big plant.
Ino bro juat over a metre from top of aoil to top of plant. The last run i did was dp auto bluberry and they was about the same high aswell. Ino ther not supposed to gro that big but hey carnt complain lol
 
I think we are going find out years down the road that autos are not dwarf as people get better at growing them and find out we were all just growing them wrong in the beginning.
