Yes or no, trimming whilst in flower

That's a good mix of plants, some small and some extra large .i dunno if I'm doing something wrong but all mine seem to get extra tall(well, taller than I want them to) ,they are looking good tho !!! Peace !!!

Ino what y sayin. Mine seem to b the same. I hope for small to medium withthe nodes bein very close but it doesnt seem to go that way. They get tall but carnt conplain get 1 1/2-2 oz per plant happy days

Not positive but I've been told and also read that if they are kept under MH ( blue spectrum) till the stop stretching and it's kept close( but not so close it burns them) that this will cause them to grow short with shorter internodal length..and also if the are switched to flower nutes and HPS early that this is another way to help control height..lastly pot size is a factor ,smaller pot=smaller plant,,but there are variables and sometimes the plant just does what it wants to anyway..my DP plants are in 2 gallon bags and they are still 42"/108 cm also I fimmed one plant 14 times to try and slow the vertical growth,or it would be like 6 feet tall....peace

You might also have luck with topping the plant to break the center cola dominance...

Iv got a plant iv topped many times but somethings took hol of it and dot think ther no return lol so gna chuk it tbf... The little bushy plany i topped it but took the whole main cola of.. Weather thats a good or bad thing wel soon find out lol

 That's what's it's all about @scott04_40 .without trying and finding what works for your situation,it's all here say !! There is another thread in the coco section that encourages defoliation training throughout the grow as opposed to one major defoliation, which again goes against conventional thought!! My next round of plants will all be the same breed so I can get and run a controlled experiment with different methods, and all will be documented ....just my thinking based on what I've researched: if a plant is " predetermined" to produce a certain amount and grow to certain size, training can be done to alter the shape, and if if can be done without shocking/stunting the plant it will still produce that said amount, just on a plant that has a different structure...my thoughts tho ,and when comparing my two pants ,the fimmed plant has the bigger colas, but the natural plant may out produce it in the end..peace

Thats it man if ya dont do things for ya self you never know do ya.. I like to experiment n see wher i end up. Bein new to it still id rather have a go now than learn later on n think ' i could of benifited from that I will try keep things updated on here but with the work i do i never get time to maself lol barely have time to grow so tbh ther not well looked after they just get wat they need lol light feed n water... Tbh they dont need any more attention

True!!! In all honesty with water/nutes and lights they will grow themselves !!!

I have played with lighting hours a little and have found 24 hours on will keep them short. I tried a MH and my plants stretched more than under my HPS. IT was farther in the blue than normal though. It was a 7,200K. You have a good high powered light, keep it close and run 24 tell the plants flower and it will help keep them shorter. I believe a nutrient disorder can cause stretching as well as high temps. Usually my dwarf auto strains get in the 20-24" tall range for me. They use to get around 12-14" but I got better at growing them.

Your absolutely right @Joe383 ,I almost forgot about mentioning the light cycle..good call !!!
