Hey lynchie51588

So u're saying that my plant, at a certain point, could stop benefiting from the sunlight? I would say the temperatures in this time of the year can vary between 80 and 90 F, could it be stopping my plant from growing? I thought it would always be good, I keep wondering of how all the outdoor plants effectively survive under high temperatures.

Hey HomieHogleg

Thanks for the useful tips.. I've recently made a new order and they offered me a ph liquid solution to add to my nute solution and check the ph, will taht work good for me?

Hey Muddy,

Can't thank u enough.. All of u.. It's my second day here and I've already learned a lot with all of u.. I'm thinking of starting a new auto (Fast bud), so any corrections to my current methods are very welcome.

I won't be using the Jiffy Pots, advice taken!

I don't think it would stop benefitting from sunlight ever, although some suggest 20/4, but this is probably just to say you can save on your bill by shutting it off for 4 hours or give your bulb some rest for 4 hours bc there probably wont be a difference. I leave mine on for 24 hours a day just because i have only a 250w bulb, and I dont see much of a difference in my bill. Also nothing happens to the plant when it gets into the 85+ range except that it probably doesnt do any growing or it slows very significantly until the temp lowers again. This is just my thought as I just read it someplace a couple of months ago.

Hey again lynchie,

When I say sunlight, I really mean it.. She is getting about 11 hours of direct sunlight (exposed to sun), and I try to compensate any lack of lighting with additional lighting time with a CLF bulb. I'm trying to get the closest as I can to a 20/4 cycle..

Should be good to go then, plants that are actually outside grow real fast so if youre getting that plus more at night then your plant will be perfect.

You're quite welcome. We're here to help and more than willing to assist anyone who wants to take the time to listen and learn.

Here it goes:

I'll be starting a new seed tomorrow and I will be expecting for your help.

I'll post about it tomorrow early.

Thank u all for the attention :)

New seed to be started

Hey, as I told u, I'm starting a new seed from zero and in the overcoming lines I'll be describing my methods. My idea is to challenge my own ideas and share them with u. I'll be expecting lots of feedback, especially when i somehow go wrong at any stage of my plant's growth.

Here it goes:

Germination

This is the auto feminized Fast bud seed that I'll be germinating:

I'll be using the soaked paper towel method, everyone says it's the best way.
I bought an humidity dome a couple of days ago and I pretend to use it to increase the humidity rate. I'll place the paper towels inside the humidity dome, which will be placed in a pantry room (it's the darkest place I can arrange).
People say to check on her every 12 hours, so that's what I'll be doing until I notice the tap root coming out.
I read somewhere that the tap root shouldn't grow beyond 5 mm, is this true?

Potting (phase 1)

After the seed cracks open I'll place her in a small pot (like the one where I currently have my short rider) with the following grow medium (mixed with perlite):

I read that the seedling isn't much of a fan of light at this point, can u verify this? I read people recommending that I keep her in the humidity dome, in a dark place, for a couple of days, before I introduce her to lighting.

As advised on this thread, I won't be feeding her with nutes before 2/3 weeks. After that I'll be gradually introducing with this nute solution:

Past two days of first potting, I'm planning of exposing her to direct sunlight (i have lots of it in my balcony he whole day), and some additional hours at night (I'm aiming at a 20/4 cycle) with a CLF setup:

For testing pH, I'll be using one solution that's been offered to me in my second order:

It's all for now, I'll be editing this post regularly.

I hope I can count on everybody to help me develop my growing skills.

Thank's in advance.

evering bro,and a welcome, the soil you got they well be ok for seeding,i would not use the humidity dome on seeds only clons, and i would pick up a better ph tester, make life easyer as a new grower, anyway i look forward to see how you new grow start :peace:

Transplant ?

Hi there everyone,

I'm wondering when should I transplant to a bigger container? I can't really tell more space for growing is required.. my current grow is on its 12th day.. when should i transplant it? are there any signs I can follow?
