yellowing tips on new leaves help!

Hey humanoid,

May I ask what your temps/humidity levels are? Aside from any other issue I'm seeing heat stress on those fan leaves which will have an effect on her ability to uptake nutes. If she's too hot she'll hold onto water for perspiration, too, which limits uptake of nutrients out of the soil. If she's over-perspiring trying to stay cool, her leaves will be the first to show these sorts of signs. We could even be getting into acidic soil territory because if she's not feeding properly, the nutes are sitting in the pot and building up an acidic soil. It can be surprising how often environmental conditions look exactly like defs/toxicity, or indirectly cause those issues in the soil.

This is not to say that there definitely aren't ph/feed issues too, but the first thing I'd be doing - if they were mine - would be making sure the environment was spot-on before doing anything else.

Good luck fella :)

be carefull with lemon juice it does work but not for long i no a fella who used it almost every day adjusting ph just cause after so many hours his ph would start a steady clime again forcing him to doce it some more with lemon juice.. eventualy got sick of it and just got ph down and a meter

Over-watering --> insufficient soil aeration, which may also harm the plants' roots, might be your problem here. It couldn't be the chicken manure since the plant without it has the same symptoms, otherwise too much nitrogen, N, can cause the same exact thing.

How often do you water them? How can you tell when they need watering?

I agree with mydanksstank, a ph meter is essential. PH Down works like lemon juice though, you keep adding it as it only affects the watering, not the soil.

Until you get your pH under control, you're wasting your time trying to fix this. It's almost certain your pH has been off, based on what you've already reported. It may not be the whole issue, but anything you do to attempt a fix without knowing your pH, is nothing more than a wild guess. :peace:

ok nice one people. I have no way of checking heat my budget went on soil, seeds a light and electric , but now the light is over 30 inches from the tallest plant with a fan going the whole time and the room is well ventilated throughout the day so i dont see how it could be heat. from what you have told me and what i have seen in other places it has to be one of these things: 1:salt buildup from my water softener although bottled water has not helped so far.
2:ph is off im guessin this is most likely
3:mg or potassium deff? im thinking this because im not feedin em so far and while they would have plenty of nitrogen from chicken shit, now that they're coming into flower maybe they are short on those nutrients? also if the plagron light runs out after 3 or 4 weeks then that could also be a problem for that plant. i read mg defficiency can cause yellow tips that curl upwards? I spose what ill do is get some ph checking/ fixing gear, fix the ph. then get some bloom nutrients, and continue with the bottled water.

the funniest thing was yesterday i read on a journal either here or on google about ph being to high and causing a potassium lockout, and thats kinda what the tips of the leaves looked like, and then i read youreusing chicken shit, it may very well be that.. but definitly get a ph meter or ph papers. good luck budd

Be careful passing on info like that... P and K lockout in soil under 6.5pH (according to most pH charts)... not over. :peace:

rite then thanks for the advise everyone ill let you know how this turns out. hopefully with some happy fat plants with lots of buds to take pics of :toke:
