New Grower Worst. Grow. Ever.

Since we all love to share our success stories, I thought it would be fun to share some horror stories from our all time worst grows.

Thought it might be good for a laugh. A good way to reflect back on how far we've all come, and perhaps a good way for the less fortunate to see that we all mess up, make mistakes, and grow from them.


For me, it was my first grow. 6 friends and myself decided to pretend we knew what we were doing.

30 plants. White widow.
Tiny space
1 1000 Watt hps
No ventilation
No fan
Light leaks everywhere
90+ degree temps
LOADS of chemicals we didn't know how to use
No concept of ph
Spider mites
Premature harvest
Dried in a damp closet with no air flow
No cure
6 ounces of the most horrible weed I've ever seen.



And to top it all off, the few we put outdoors were stolen before they even started to flower... Not even stolen to be used, cut down at the base while in veg.... Weird man..


Anyone else?

This is the first time ive publicly admitted it in the 15 years since it's happened.

Worst part of the story is, I actually sold an ounce to some kid for $200. I totally deserve any bad grow karma that comes my way for that one... Lol

Maaan bad grow karma PPFTTTT!! DUDE!!Check this out man..I bought a crap 5 dollor box of plastic as a soil meter and had a stellar blueberryheadband rollin up NICE!! PH seemed hi er so it said n I was like but it looks ok..hmmm.so I added a cap full of lemon juice not knowing the PH was already at the very low end of being ok I guess.AND it shreeded it down to 3 er so n I couldnt get it up cuz it was like 30 gallons of soil.but I did get a harvest for Oil only but WOW Imma have to look for a pic..I know I gotta cpl too..crisp as crispy get short of being cooked from the outside or a flamethrower LMAO!!

soooo I got tired of battling it n left it to fix itself which it dide right nicely but was very stunted and airy bud as ya'd expect but made good oil..smoking it was just flat nasty LOL!! hell fer all I know thats what Gave me my MS not really but...lol

Oh boy, if you all want a good LOL, I was actually thinking of nominating my first round for the title of Saddest Harvest in the Entire History of Cannabis lol. Ok so I was doing just about everything all wrong, killed basically everything, bla bla, but managed to baby this one retard enough to get it through to harvest. By retard, I mean it had full blown dwarfism, it was even stuck at 2 inches tall for a month! It flowered at 4 inches tall lol. Also, it had the crazy mutation where some single branches / leaves would come out at random places and angles, instead of across from each other. And it had the 4 point mutation, but that wasn't a big deal. Finally, at 10 inches, it was harvest time... Mostly cloudy with a few amber. It wasn't going to get any better or bigger. Chopped, it was looking great, my trimming was pretty aggressive, as I was gathering for another butter attempt.

So, 2.3 grams dried... It's curing nice, and tastes pretty good. It's pretty, not sugar coated, but hairy. Quite strong too, and burns to perfect white ash, so I did get a couple things right there at the end lololol.

I once put ashes from the fireplace in the water. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure that was the same grow. I really can't recall the logic behind that one.... Aside from being a kid.

HAHAAA ashes from the fireplace lol, I can almost see some kinda logic in that. I've heard of adding ash into ammendments, but I think it was supposed to be a certain type of ash idk.

Took a plant over 1,100 miles in the back seat through 5 states, a week in my sister's backyard and a week in my other sister's garage. Marched it down the street and into our apartment in Philadelphia with people staring at us like we were crazy.

The landlord looked right at it and had no idea what it was.
