Indoor World of Seeds 1 x Northern Light Big bud + 4 x Afghan Kush Ryder 250w CFL organic minigrow.

I had really bad luck with world of seeds nl x bb when I used organic soil, but then again I was new to growing at the time. Best of luck to you. Leaving a massive Leaving a karma clou

Thanks Nam, my usual organic soil is great but this one is really hot but the girls are pulling through, though it's a bit of a fight.

DAY 28 3 x AKR, DAY 14 Northern Light/Big Bud cross ...

I've pruned the leaves that were worse-affected by nute-burn.

NLxBB Cross :

The three AKR's are out of danger now as far as this hot soil is concerned.

The NLBB is now showing the signs so we'll see how she goes.

I have now switched to the flowering light, the AKR's were too short for my liking due to the blue light so four weeks of veg should be enough, autos veg for from two to six weeks so four weeks is a good time to change to red spectrum.

This means the NLBB has only had two weeks of veg light but i'm not too worried, having only grown using a red CFL in my first five grows with no problems.

Not happy with the size of the AKR's compared to other plants I've grown at the same age, but it's obviously due my first use of a vegging light, the blue light forms a smaller inter-node gap so the plant doesn't stretch so much.

Still, size isn't everything ;+}

Brief update ...

Sorry for lack of updates, been some changes.

My gf and i are moving to our first house, we currently rent a 1-bed flat so to have a whole house (still renting though) will be great.

The downside is, our landlady now wants to sell the flat and she is doing viewings while we are still here so the growbox had to be relocated.

I only have one friend who can do me this favour so the box is now in his loft.

Unfortunately, the box was put up there at the start of the heatwave we've been having in the UK, you won't belive the temps !

The temps have reached 48 degrees C (118 Farenheit !) and the humidity is below 25%.

Also, a word of warning, do NOT buy Carbon Gold compost for growing in, it is FAR too rich in N and has really dealt the plants a hard blow.

What with the hot compost, high temps and low humidity the AKR's are barely a foot high.

When i used Plant Magic compost before the girls were two feet high and bushy by this stage, now they are a foot high and skinny.

I forgot to take my camera to his place today but they didn't need watering so i'll go back tomorrow and take some video, i can't find my good still camera just now though.

So, thought i better pop in and explain things, sorry i didn't do it sooner.

Video (and hopefully pics too!) update tomorrow.

Cheers Micro and all,

nibs.

Doh !

Forgot to take the camera when i went to water them !

Next feed is in 3 or 4 days time, i won't forget the cam next time :)

All the best,

nibs.
