Hey guys . Was just wondering if i could take a couple buds off my plant when ready but leave the rest to do it's thing . Will the plant be stunted or carry on as normal ? Have been thinking about doing this on the last 2 grows but didn't want to ruin a nice plant . Heard you can do this with photos but not sure what the deal is with autos .Any advice , tips or oppinions are apreciated . Thanks and peeeeace ✌

Well I usually harvest when triches are all cloudy but want to leave this 1 until I get about 50% Amber . So the plan was to take a couple off when they are milky and leave the rest until the end . Not sure if it's a good idea or if it will do the plant more harm than anything . Thanks 4 the reply btw ✌

Assuming you're not removing a major amount of plant material trimming a few buds should be no big deal .... :pass:

Ok that's what I was hoping to hear lol . Thank you .
Also ... this is totally down to preference I know but does the bud get better or stronger the longer you leave it ? I've never actually got to the point where I have Amber triches lol patience never was my strong point

I generally let mine get quite a bit of amber ... the reality is that you will have buds on the same plant that are various stages of becoming amber and some never do ... I consider a bud done when 80-100% of the pistils have turned brown and shriveled up ... this is the bud signaling that it is no longer looking to reproduce and is shutting down .... I generally don't check my trichomes until after harvest ...

If they look like this I'd harvest them ... Hello from frozen divide ... these beauties are not my plants ...:vibe:

Helpful info . Thank you . Still 2/3 weeks to go but just doing my research really as I want to get this 1 right . Thnks 4 the reply man . Nice 1 .

I do selective harvests on my outdoor photos and I have gained as much as 1/2lb extra bud off a single plant, that would otherwise be underformed and tossed into the hashmaking bin. Have yet to try it indoors or with autos, but the technique is sound, so I think it could work well.

Sounds like it could be a good idea , Will give it a go , take the ripe buds and leave the rest to fatten up . I've always toyed with the idea but never tried it . So will give it a go this time round . What's the worst that could happen right ?

The worst that could happen? Too much stress and the remaining flowers throw out hermy pods and pollinate remaining plants.
