I chopped 4 of my girls last week and tried the brown paper bag method to dry. (first time using this method)This was working good I thought until I moved my bags to a different spot in my house. After about 5 days I was suprised that they felt too dry. I popped them in jars and the one jar's hydrometer read 53%, so I popped a 65% boveda pack in there and now it reads 66%
The other jar was even lower, at 45% and after 12 hours with a 65% boveda pack, it's up to 64%. Did I ruin anything?
Should I keep the jars closed without burping them since they are in the curing range? If so, how long should I leave them in there? Did I screw it up? Will the buds be potent or have I killed off that chance? The buds look great and have super bag appeal (through the jars) but this is my 4th grow and I am finding drying to be the hardest part by far due to the very hot and humid climate I love in. Even inside with the air conditioning I'm in the low 80's for temp and 50% for humidity ... Please somebody let me know if these buds are still smoke able or potentially smokable ? Thanks!!
