When I decided to grow a buddy gave me 10 auto seeds from ilgm to experiment/learn with (5 GG#4, 5 Jack Herer) and told me to buy Mephisto for the “real” grows. Great plan as I’ve done a LOT wrong but thanks to you good folks I’ve been able to correct in time. I have 15 seeds from Mephisto sitting in the fridge begging to be grown. Hitting next Mondays drop too for some Jammy Dodgers and Purple Nuggets lol. I’m happy that it appears many if not all of you agree they’re top notch. So I’m curious about some differences I may see with them after growing the ilgm seeds or what qualities about Mephisto are so appealing to you?

I'll answer and say for me - YMMV, IMHO, all the usual disclaimers, etc etc - I feel that the quality is great, they are fairly consistent, and I love the plant structure. Just a joy to watch them grow. On top of that, if you buy direct, with all of the freebies they include, it works out to maybe the best deal out there. I think last time I calculated it, it worked out to something like $5.60 per seed with shipping included?

That's not to say that others aren't good. There are other great breeders. And nothing is without issue in this hobby.

Beautiful plants my friend. I do agree that there are many great breeders available. Twisted Tree over here in the US is another fantastic "indie" breeder. Can I ask where you are generally located? Because here, FB, DP, etc are almost 2X the price vs buying direct from Mephisto. I still purchase and grow them. But generally more expensive.

Hello i am in UK

Thanks for the comments and beautiful pics! I was watching lighting stuff on YouTube last night and a guy said that he reached out to Mephisto and they said they use 24 hours of light the whole life. I’m on 20/4 but now considering 24/0 when I drop their seeds.

For a significant number of years, Mephisto was way out front in Auto breeding as compared with most breeders. There were all-in early on. The difference today is not so great as is once was as many others have developed great auto genetics.

I had a whole message typed out but decided to just say, IMO, many others wouldn’t have the genetics they have without Mephisto. I could be wrong, but behind every great autoflower strain I’m sure you’re going to find some Mephisto lineage. Maybe not all, but most.
