Hi friends

I'm trying to figure out what to do about the smell!

I have a carbon fiber intake, and am venting the air into an unfinished storage room in the basement.... But the whole basement is starting to smell sticky-sweet.

I checked the seals, and can't find any leaks... Any suggestions???

You've stated "carbon filter on intake"....perhaps filtering exhaust would improve things.

Are you getting negative pressure when your extractor runs (do the sides of the tent suck in when it’s running)?

Worth mentioning: it doesn't smell in the actual room that the tent is in... Just in the room where the exhaust goes (and the other rooms connected to it...)

how many runs has the filter done or is it new iv personally never totally got rid of the smell just reduced it with carbon filters

If its only smelling where your exhaust is it has to be your filter i only use phresh filters now there a bit dearer but i usually get 2 years of growing out of one

i reckon its gotta be your filter i either use rhino pro or mountain air they will last 2 to 3 years so well worth spending the extra also how big is your tent and what power fan and filter are they
