Nobody wants to be honest about their pheno numbers it seems. DJ short, I know I quote him in like every post, or paraphrase at least, works lines to f4-5 with BX but releases then to "keep some variety in the mix" or something to that effect, implying that if he did it a little longer the plant would be pretty devoid of variations.
Reading some things he has written about 11/13 light cycles, angles of light and distances of lights from plants and how those factors influence the phenotype expression of a given plant would help some people understand this. Even when fully stable here will be variations.
i just get mad when people have to go pheno hunting, unless that means picking their favorite from a bunch of keepers. Truth is, as long as the plant does what is advertised, the other stuff it does is often brushed over. Spyder from black creek gardens is supposed to be very uniform at f8 or f9 or something. Your peppers on your yellow pepper plant will turn yellow as advertised but you are also advised to plant 3-5 seeds per space and kill all but the best... Because nature needs variations and mutations to force evolution. Nobody told nature that we are evolving cannabis for our needs...
