Hello - I'm considering purchasing a pack of these from Oregon Elite Seeds, and have a couple of questions...

What do you anticipate the THC:CBD ratio to be? It isn't listed on the website as far as I can see, and I haven't found it by looking through this subforum (although I might have overlooked it...)

The information on their website shows the following genetics:
Genetics: Seedsman White Widow auto x CBD Haze XXL auto

I had thought I read in another post on here that XXL was not in the WW mix, but maybe that was for a slightly different strain?

I'll be growing this outdoors in norcal from June-August. Since this appears to be an XXL variety, what pot size would you recommend? (BTW - This will be my first auto grow, but have otherwise grown outdoors in pots for 6 seasons.)

Thanks!!
@StickMan @tobe

I'm not sure it's been tested, I know @STILLSMOKIN Ois growing it right now... I know when mines done I'm going to try to get someone to get me an alphacat so I can test the thc myself and give a good final thc and cbd%. I'm asking around for you now.
My thread in this sub forum (white widow cbd) is one where I'm growing it. Go to the last few pages. I was fighting powdery mildew for a few days but I got it licked without any issues to the plant so they are hearty.

Thanks, MissUniverse. I think I've read every post in this forum at this point ;-)

I saw the issue with powdery mildew. That is definitely a problem where I'm located. I've had it almost every year I've grown in spots here and there. I've been able to keep it under control, however, and it's never really affected my yield. Bud rot has been my main nemesis. But if I try these, I'll definitely keep an eye out.

I didn't know anything about autos until a few months ago. I wasn't planning on growing this season, but when I found out about the short cycle of the autos, I thought I'd grow a handful of roughly 1:1 CBD:THC for my wife because it works best for her and we ran out of what I grew a few seasons ago.

I'm getting a late start, so I decided not to buy seeds from overseas and risk not getting them until mid/late June. I'd like to have everything finish up by early September when the rains start up and dew comes in heavy. And I'd like to grow decent-yielding varieties rather than ones that only give 1oz/plant under the best conditions. But I've found the selection of auto/fems with equal cbd:thc in USA-based seed-banks to be quite limited. I've found these HPG seeds, the FastBuds Crack CBD, and the Sweet Nurse CBD. (I might have found the Purple Kush CBD Auto domestically, but they appear to be pretty small yielding...) And I do realize that I still may only get 1oz per plant being that this is my first auto-grow.

I'm hoping my basic outdoor/soil growing skills will carry over to these autos. I was going to use FFoF as that's what I've used the last few seasons, but I read all of the warnings in here, so I may use Roots original instead. Will also be using the General Organics brand of nutes as that's about all I've used previously. I don't think it's great, but I'm familiar with it and the only real complaint I have is leaves tend to turn yellow earlier and more than expected when flowering.

I don't do much more to my plants other than spray a BT Caterpillar preventative once they start budding (that seems to have fixed this issue which was pretty bad my first few years), and I've used the GreenCure powder for powdery mildew. I've also read there may be issues with GreenCure, so I'll review your information about the fungicide you've been using if/when the PM crops up. I'm not familiar with using other soil additives like Mykos and Azos, and am on a budget, so not sure if I'll use them or not.

I'm open to any and all suggestions, however!

I'll probably wait another day or two to see if I can get a response from @StickMan or someone else...then probably just bite the bullet and get the wwcbd as an experiment along with the crack cbd and see what happens...

Thanks again.

I think you're gonna find the wwcbd haze from hpg to be good. It's too bad you cant get the nl cbd because everything I've heard from first hand is it's amazing. I managed to procure one seed and I wanna grow it but I just cant bring myself to give it less than perfect conditions because I've seen the results of a couple of zips.
OES are great guys and HPG are two stand up dudes. I wish OES would have a 3 pack of the hpg seeds.
Also if you can get mephisto seeds try a couple of them for yourself their store opens on June 3 again I think. But that's not going to effect what you're looking for with hpg seeds. Biting the bullet isnt really biting the bullet I know I've had the weird phenols and issues but everyone else has done well. Also with the PM I have seemed to been the only one with issues and it gets licked fast. Also comparatively speaking I'm the newest and worst of the growers tests all this together and I think the issues have been of my own doing. So my failures can be seen as my own. And being completely open and honest has been I think of most value. I know that @StickMan and @tobe are good to their customers and will make sure you're good and make sure you succeed. And we are all also here and they to get the community to help you out and stay positive and get the info you need :d5:

I’ve grown 4 of HPG cbd crosses all used the same haze cbd pollen. All produced top Shelf quality buds yield was no less then 3oz biggest so far was Black Stone which was over 5. I don’t tend to plants individually I make a large batch of nutes and they all have to deal with it. HPG strains have been easy to grow with little fuss and just some leaf tucking and and ponytailing. The NL has perfect nugs very classic NL smell looks and taste. Effects r very nice also very relaxing. All of my lower tolerance friends love it as do my higher tolerance friends. The white widow looks to be on par with those numbers and the same easy grow. Good luck with your grow.

Thank you for the feedback, everyone! I'll go ahead and make the purchase and hopefully start the grow the first week of June. I'll likely start a grow log here as well. It seems like a very nice little community here :-)

Hi Kartingpilot
At first sorry for the late reply, this cross was made by my friend @StickMan it's a F1 version and you can get different phenotypes.
Pheno 1 high THC low CBD
Pheno 2 high cbd low THC
Pheno 3 balance ratio of CBD/THC

We don't got this strain lab tested , StickMan will tell you more about this cross.

Have a nice day
