Up DATE!! So things are looking good, my main cola has emerged and I'm about to start mixing in bloom nutes. I stayed with the Schultz line and got a cactus 2-7-7 supplement. I saw an Alaska morbloom fish deal @ 0-10-10, but wasn't sure if any smell would translate, so I put it back...I has hard time make decision...

And the stretch is begun!!! Today marks 4 weeks above soil. I did a couple more pigtails today and will possibly hit it again on Saturday/Sunday. She is absolutely exploding with bud sites

Hokai, so....
It looked like princess pine was to become well constricted, so I chopped the rim offa that bucket. Uhhh, oh yeah, has anyone else mixed up nutrients with molasses and have the bottle ferment? Then the other two babies just got their domes off a day or two ago. Well, thickStik got hers knocked off as I shut the door, so her beginner leaves took a hard beating. She's recovered and is really putting energy into not dying. 2sticks² is doing fine. Just a typical seedling. Had some slight bleaching on her, but she seems to be plodding through just fine.

And I got some overdrive as well. Probably gonna grab that fish juice tomorrow.

Hey there!

If you're putting together all those CFLs to make
531 W / 347 W in just 3'x1.5' (4.5'sq) or 4'x2' (6'sq),
that's about 100 W/sf give or take.
Not sure how many W/sf needed for CFL.

Why not go for about 200-300 W of LED power?
That's maybe 40-50 W/sf which is enough.
(Ex. 400 W in 3'x3' is about right.)

But with 200-300 W of LED, your power bill
will be much lower than all those CFLs.
Sure, costs a bit more on the set up,
but the power bill differences easily pay for it.

Not to mention the actual result...

After yesterday's live chat with bigsm0, it's a very real eventuality. I am absolutely tapped right now. Putting gas in my car and bottled water for the girls is about all I have until harvest and I'm gonna have to definitely get rid of some and that's the reason I started more. I don't want make money, but recuperating funds would be helpful.... Moral dilemma. But yes, it may take a while, it may be a year from now, but I will totally be switching as soon as I can. BTW, I think I'm down to 2*65w @ 6500 k & 6*40w @ 2700 k. Thanks for the feedback!!

Ketchup time!! So I got the Alaska morbloom 0-10-10 and added that to my bloom nutes. Switched out two of the 40w 2700k lights stalactiting above thickStik and 2sticks² for two 32w 6400k 1800 lumen bulbs. I also moved the lights up quite a bit to try encouraging stretch. Princess pines hairs are getting all tangled - a dreadlocked mess!!

Looking good @Benjamin Squier! I forgot I started to follow sorry I havnt been back past! Feel free to tag me with any questions bro it looks like its been a bit quiet for responses for you.

Are their any regulars in there or just autos? I was thinking keeping a mother and growing a few nice plants from clone in the summer might open another avenue of production for you. How long until spring mate?

@orrganic (idk why I can't tag you..) So far, they're all autos. All widows, but they're also virgins. Or seventh day Adventists / WASPs. Juuuusssst kiddinggggg. I've got a few beans for photo outdoor, real cheap, scraggly looking sativa bastards, and a handful of decent bag seed (3 c4, 1 diesel Alaska thunder, and an unknown). The purchased seeds are easy Rider (cuz....I mean..... Come on!! Dennis hopper et al....) And Afghani. The pics looked horrible, but the price was incredible. Spring... Well, this week, we've had 2 record breaking days of 68+*F, followed by a near ice storm followed by another 60+ day, and today is back in the 30's and raining. Spring is waltzing here in its own time. Hoping to sew some autos around late April (-; the photos will begin in pots and maybe get stuck in the ground when they're stocky enough.

@jokerinkx3 - I hope not!! I wish she would stretch a bit more... I got the more XTRM seeds for the autos because the description said it would double the size of the plant, I'm thinking not so much, but also can't make it do a damn thing if she doesn't wanna..

Looking good for 1st grow I had the same damn problem with those flood lights that u did lol sept I bought mine for 50 cents a piece at good will for a total of 5$ then had to buy adapters to ho down to a regular light socket to find out that they are not like regular cfls and that it needs a ballast like u have stated so I sold all but one at a yard sale for 10$ a piece I now have 1 in a lights of America light fixture that i sprout with mine is about 8 inches long and 65 watt. Im at around day 37 on my 1 auto grow. Girls look nice and congrats on your 1st grow

Oof...I wish I had actually done light research........ Spilt milk.

OK, so... I'm planning on a defoliation to get more lights down to those lower bud sites. My question is, how close to the main stalk do I need to clip? Is this just a dumb question? I'm thinking definitely 4 leaves, up to 8, and of course the dead, yellowing leaves.

Second topic of mental occupation:
I'm looking still at lighting solutions. I'm intrigued by uv/ir spectrums; are these available in cree cob units? Also, it seems many are ~3500 k. Am I not searching wide enough, or is popular consensus now that 2700/6500 k is outdated and the cob achieves a more evenly blended white light? @BigSm0 maybe you can shed some......... LIGHT!!!!!!!!!?!!!!!........Hahahahahahahahahhhterriblejoke.
