New Grower White widow autofem XTRM CFL closet grow

Going to give a light watering in a short bit, but I've noticed that my pants are reaching for those big hanging 65w 4100k CFLs. I'll spin them for now, and may ask a buddy to lend me the 80$ for the two ballasts need to finish up my lights, which will triangulate the 4100k lighting. Other than keeping on my pH, are there any things that I could prepare myself for? Preventative measures? I will have plenty of alone time in the next two weeks and may do an overhaul on this ugly-ass chandelier. May post a pic later tonight

@pop22 - I have one runoff that was 8.4, the other 8.8, yikes!! I have touched up/attempted a light remediation with distilled white vinegar. It may also be a function of my stone base being limestone.... Still not watering to the point of runoff now, that was the result of the soak to flush the soil before planting. Nothing manifesting as of yet, but I think keeping a strict eye on it will me my best mode of attack.

Here are the ladies after a light-moderate watering

lime will usually mediate ph to about 7, may be other factors pushing it higher, such as too much calcium. My tap water is at about 8.1 right now! ( I NEVER use my tap water, it took me 6 months to figure out it was killing my plants, and not because of ph! ) test your water! check the ec/ppm of your waster also. Too much iron will wreak havoc with cannabis also.

Wow. I didn't realize how much these babies grow in the span of a couple days!! So just light watering for the first week. The soil was almost crispy today, so I let the water fall a bit more, I think within the next few days I should be able to water until I get run off, and then I'll be able to reassess my pH. Tomorrow's payday, so I'll get those last two ballasts I need and I'll rework my chandelier upon arrival.

So they've started to flourish and that allows me to nitpick every single color variation in the leaves that my brain can trick itself into seeing. I saw just tan tips on the serrated margins, also the wave in leaf on 2sticks. Probably over thinking, but I'd rather be too overbearing than too lackadaisical.

if you'll excuse princess pine, she's just stepped from the shower ;-)

you couldn't ask for nicer looking seedlings! Seedlings do all kinds of strange things, don't pay too much attention till they are 10 days or so old. If they look healthy, let them be!

Thank you for your reassuring and patience. Battery died when putting the door back on so I snapped a couple more pics of the girlies. While staring in blank blissful adoration, I noticed little tiny, hyper-fine hairs emerging from a slightly different hue on the older leaves. I'm sure if you know what I'm blathering on about, you already know. Any whoozles, here's the hairs if you zoom in.

One other thing I seem to have noticed, and consequentially wish I had a true control for my soil, but if I'm seeing correctly, it would appear 2sticks is definitely doing better than princess pine. Tomorrow I think I'll grab a stereo photo

Hey - @SouthCarolinaYardDog - I read you enjoy CFL grows, so I thought I'd tag you in. Don't laugh too hard!!

Here's the 'group'? Family foto!! As you can see 2sticks is doing about twice as well as princess pine. Don't quite want to say that my experiment of soil is proving itself, but it's looking promising: (2sticks is in the left, and I know it's a bad angle)
